I want to
nominate BorkJerfkin for Excellent Moderation
. I am sure there are other games that showcase his dedication to making the players' game experience enjoyable and well informed, but Micro 158 Borkgame, Newbie 1358 Bisquik, and above all the themed game Xenoblade were all moderated with excellence, flair and humor. Sometimes the players were going through tons of pages per day. The vote counts were timely, the attention to questions was prompt, and the flavor was awesome. I watch the queues for his games because I know they will be awesome.

It's kinda sad that we haven't had any nominations at all for Professor Mafia. There have been plenty of people in 2013 who have contributed a great deal to mafiascum.net, yet none of them have received any recognition for their work at all. It's about time I fixed that.

Nominate hitogoroshi for Professor Mafia
. In addition to having created a strong MD thread for moderators (albeit one which
mainly
benefits a specific type of game, themes), read his posting history over the last year when it comes to MD. They're not very frequent, but almost every single post he makes is worth having been posted.

Nominate Varsoon for
Biggest Shitlord
Most Enjoyable Player

Primarily for Calvin & Hobbes Mafia, although I'm sure the players of Xenoblade Mafia might want to chime in as well.

Varsoon was talkative, insightful, funny, easygoing, and friendly. He's a very approachable player who seems like the kind of guy who gets along well with everybody. Even as he twisted the dagger of treachery and deception in Town's collective backs for a month and a half straight, it was still great fun playing with him.

Nominating the team of Eddie Fenix, Varsoon, and Dante for Best Performance Scum Group during their play in Calvin and Hobbes Mafia.

We had a perfect scum-game in a multi-ball setup that even had dayvig's in it. I really twisted town about and was confirmed-town for over half the game after brilliant use of my neighborizer power. Not only that, but I claimed scum on D1 and was tracked to a kill early in the game and somehow argued my way out of it. Between the brilliant NKs, misdirection, and active-lurking and distancing done by my team, we made it through a 21-player multi-ball game without a single one of us dying!

2nd for Varsoon being Most Enjoyable Player

I haven't completed a game with him, but I've definitely seen his play.

Reminder that things need to be at least seconded to be under consideration for judging, that's all.
are you thinking of me when you're with somebody else?
