You're not trying to point out a hyprocisy as much as you're trying to add a bit of dramatic flare to the situation by tossing in some manufactured irony in order to further your cause. That much is clear.

Why isn't it a lie? Because it doesen't fall into the definition of one. A statement that turns out to be untrue is not neccessarily a lie.

"A false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood. "

Note the key word there: intent. If an untrue statement is made unintentionally, it is not a lie. So even though my following post invalidated the statement, there was no intent to do so, and therefore it is not a lie.

Thok, yes, it was a metagame call. I've made this call before and I always will. This is because LAL is a stickling point for me and I believe that playing that particular little game is about as horrendous and destructive a tactic as it gets. Plus I'm far from convinced that spectrum is pro-town, which is a plus.

I challenge your call of OMGUS though. How can you support this when, my vote prior to spectrumvoid was pablito, my vote the prior day was pablito, and I've been making comments about my suspicions of him almost since he joined the game? This is hardly an OMGUS whim.

If you really want to push the point you could use the oxford english dictionary definition, which again includes the word intent.

1. a. An act or instance of lying; a false statement made with intent to deceive; a criminal falsehood. Phrase, to tell (formerly to make) a lie. Also, without lie, no lie, truly (often as an expletive in ME. poetry; cf. without fable).

They all say that. It's linked to the word itself. There's no such thing as an unintentional lie and you can't twist your way around that.

You made a statement that you knew was false, or at least if you weren't a complete 'tard you knew was wrong. You said
NOTHING
would change your vote, even if he was confirmed innocent, or if you were just crazy and he didn't actually lie(which happened), etc etc.

Coron I didn't say nothing would change my vote. As a matter of fact I never even said nothing so your big emphatic caps and underlining is completely unwarranted. I said my vote wouldn't change.

The realizitation that spectrum wasn't truly lying was something I wasn't anticipating, especially with the words "I lied" being right there.

Not fully thought-out? Perhaps. But not a lie.

Uraj's comments on me were regarding the following topics

I questioned why an unretractable deadline was necessary. Craplogic for trusting MBL's opinion of Uraj. Bandwagonning. My argument on him.

Yes you have been comment on me. But partly because I have attacked you...especially at a time when very few were onto you. You attacked me...when I attack you. I just gotta say that if you're gonna pull the "talking about pablito ever since he came in" card, I'm gonna have to pull the "talking about Uraj long before he got into the spotlight" card and that means nothing. But it just means that I'm cancelling out your card because my monster card has mystical BS roleblocking abilities against your weakling monster card. And then I'm going to play my mystical knight hammer card which will deplete your life force to only 100 life points, aya, victory!

Okay. So if you're pro-town, Uraj, I don't know, but don't attack me. I'm pro-town. armlx was pro-town (there's some evidence of this as well), so find someone good to unearth suspicions on. But I don't think you're pro-town, so feel free to try.

Don't mind, I do admit I'm not using the most logic possible in this game. Been relying more on gut for a while. And I have been harsh on you. Apologies if you come up pro-town. But I feel this is our best course of option.

I can respect that, though naturally that doesen't change my opinion that you're scum.

Anyway I'm going to claim my current office, because I don't see any harm in it and the information could be margainally useful if this lynch does go through.

I've got a key. I can open offices.

Last post for the night. I wouldn't mind seing some fresh voices.

Uraj is the lynch for today.

I'd like some input on people with suspected offices, ie, people who occupy offices which had scummy predecessors.

So Pooky was the old office opener. Uraj, do you have any opinion on the choices of opening offices that Pooky performed?

I was thinking of not revealing, but then I realized...well viper/bluemonick probably told his scum partners that he had it, so it's of no consequence to claim if scum already know anyway.

There's an investigative kit in Jack Campbell's office. therefore cop. no mention of sanity.

Curious. I thought it likely that bluemonick's office was related to the office blowing up earlier.

And your point is? I do like the current line of looking closely at Uraj, but I'd like to take a look at MOS (given his Cesspit obsession) and I'd like to hear stuff from Quagmire/Pooky also.

You weren't showing a healthy pro-town curiosity. Now you are. Asking to hear more from MoS, Quag or Pooky is very pro-town.

This coming from the man who claimed that the game is all about logic and that becoming emotional is just a pitfall, and etc. How ironic.

I'm going to
FoS: Uraj
for now. I haven't really liked his posts lately, but I don't want to put him at lynch -1 until I get a chance to post my thoughts a little more. Given my current schedule, that could be this afternoon, or it could be in a week. We shall see.

Nothing emotional about that, MoS. It's simply a statement of my assessment of the argument. And I'm not saying you won't find me getting emotional on the very rare occasion (like
the day that never ended
, but I avoid it whenever possible.
Uraj, do you have any opinion on the choices of opening offices that Pooky performed
Not really. He opened one each night, if I recall correctly, which is a reasonable play for both town and scum I would think.

A thought that just occured to me, though, is that I think we can deduce that mmod, at the very least, wasn't on viper's scum team or he would have snatched up that cop office ASAP.

But speaking of MMOD. . .how about a post? That goes for Quagmire and Pooky as well.
