Do not quote communications outside the game thread, including role PMs, quicktopics, etc., in the game thread. This specifically includes PM timestamps. Paraphrasing is allowed. If in doubt, ask.
Unless I have specifically told you it is allowed, do not talk about this game outside of this game thread until it is completed.
Do not use cryptography, invisible text, tiny text, or the like.
Do not use any form of provable randomness. Claiming you rolled dice and acting on that is fine. Using dice tags is not.
Do not bring outside factors into this game. This includes, among other things, making bets, promises of real life rewards, etc.
Claiming scum by yourself is fine. Claiming scum with others is not, regardless of the truth of this claim.
Pretending to break a rule will be treated the same as breaking the rule.
Breaking one of these rules may, at my discretion, result in a modkill. If you are modkilled, you will become a Neutral Survivor, and thus automatically lose. Modkilling may or may not end the game day.
No set of rules can be all-encompassing. I reserve the right to take any action at any time, for any reason. However, I try to be extremely reasonable. If you have any questions about the game, rules, or players, please ask me via PM.
Activity Rules
If a player goes 72 real life hours without posting, they may be prodded at my discretion, or upon being asked by another player. Prods will be announced in thread.
If a player does not respond to their prod within 36 real life hours, would be prodded thrice in the same game-day, or four times in total within the game, they may be force-replaced at my discretion.
If you will be V/LA, please alert me in the thread or via PM.
Each game day will have a deadline of fourteen real life days (two weeks).
In the event deadline is reached before a lynch has occurred, there will be
No Lynch
.
Each night will have a deadline of three real life days (72 hours).
If a player has a night action, but does not submit a choice before deadline, they will perform no action.
I may extend deadlines in the event replacements must be found, at my discretion. This will be announced in thread.
Voting Rules
Votes must be at the beginning of a new line, using vote tags or

Each player will be randomly assigned two roles from the deck. They must choose one to keep and discard the other.
Once every player has chosen a role
and
there is at least one antitown role in the game, any roles with partners are informed of their partners.
At the start of Day 1, every player's discarded role is publicly revealed.
All possible roles are included in the above role list as well as the wiki page.
There may be third parties or cults, but there are no jesters.
The possible factions are:

A situation where neither team can win will result in a draw. If the game reaches a point at which a win for a particular faction is a foregone conclusion, the game will be called early (i.e. two mafia versus a vanilla townie).
The setup has no set number of town or anti-town roles. However, if a setup winds up with less that 50% town roles after choices have been made then the role choices will be rerolled.
Anti-town factions will be allowed to communicate during the night and pregame phase only.
Masons have day and night talk enabled.
Lovers do not have private communication.
If more than 2 Masons or Lovers are chosen, then all the Masons form one Mason group, and all the Lovers form one Lover group (rather than separate pairs). The Nymphomaniac, however, creates a separate Lover group when it uses its action on Night 1. It is possible to unite the two groups if the Nymphomaniac targets an existing Lover, however.
The One-Shot PGO is activated on the first night during which someone targets it. Any and all players who target it in that one night die.
The Alien faction has only a one-shot factional nightkill for the whole game. The faction was designed to appear rarely but have powerful role actions.
