ABOUT THE FTB SERVER:


Because we're submitting MafiaCraft as a Private Server pack (not Private Public), we're not allowed to publicly distribute the pack code - we have to give it out privately. So if you want to be able to use the pack as soon as it's available (hopefully tomorrow if Maru gets me the damn screenies, otherwise next thursday), put your MS name on this:

I already added everyone I could think of off the top of my head, but check just to be sure. If you're not on there by the time the pack goes live you'll have to PM me/Klaz/M for the code, so you'll be waiting longer.

Had to submit a 1.0.3 to fix an ID conflict that went unnoticed before; I'm hoping it won't affect anything, but it
could
potentially delay the pack getting published.

Yeah, I realized that after I went to sleep. No irc, and no dynmap (although dynmap can probably be replaced with a script). It was kind of a joke suggestion, I was npt expecting it to get that much traction.

Hmmm a mod that simply implements IRC listening shouldnt be that hard to implement, though...... Hmmmmmmmm.

I know client side I can configure one of the forge-based IRC mods to listen to a channel and transmit between your client and a channel, but that would require everyone to have said mod, and for it to update with ever MC version.

A server-side mod that listens to IRC and broadcasts that into minecraft seems like something so simple, that I'd be surprised that no one has either an independent mod, or a module to forge/bukkit that is current to the snapshots. That sounds like a fun project.

The trouble with an independent mod is that there's a really, REALLY strong movement away from anything that modifies base files (and has been for a while). If it was forge, then yeah, I'm not sure why it's not updated already. :?
