In post 1790, Oversoul wrote:1) quote your post where you voted Jacob
2) quote your posts where you refer to his wagon, especially if you make mention of the l-1 = lynch that you talked about earlier with Matt
In post 1624, kuribo wrote:So at JS reaching L-2, you want to lynch ben so he doesnt get away with his shitty play?

what about KKB's shitty play
or GiF's shitty play
or CES' shitty play
or your own shitty play

How many lynches do you think we get?
Why are you only now worried about benmage?

Unvote
Vote: JacobSavage
At the time, I kinda thought that Kid A might be partners with JS. Hop off the wagon once it gets dangerous and then vote someone else. Classic soft-bus--- I figured Kid A had to hop off the wagon if they were buddies or violate his wincon if it goes to lynch. So I put him back at L-2. Didn't expect JS to flip town so I got pissed when I saw Ben quickhammer.
In post 1583, kuribo wrote:What's the link between OS and JS specifically?

I get why JS is independently scummy
In post 1578, kuribo wrote:
In post 1576, DrippingGoofball wrote:I don't see GG as scum, you'd have to convince me.
I don't like the JS wagon, though. Two of my scumreads and LurkInFreezer? They're tainting your beautiful wagon, and that might be why I'm having a hard time seeing JS as scum.

Please note that Oversoul only recently joined the GG wagon when it became obvious that JS is the likely lynch. Oversoul is absolutely the kind of player to soft-bus when his partner's not in any real danger.
By this point, I liked the idea of JS as scum, but my main concern was the scumreads on his wagon. Then DGB posted:
In post 1580, DrippingGoofball wrote:I know it's tempting to look at "who's on the wagon" but every time I have succumbed, it didn't pan out. Evidence for scum (without a result) is flimsy at best, so deciding alignment based on who is on the wagon is one degree separated from the scum itself, so it's very, very weak and not proven effective.

If JS is scum, his lynch will lose the game for OS. It's more likely that he was cornered into voting for the competing wagon than hoping we'd all go "oh hey OS is voting GG so JS is probtown." Occam's Razor. OS needs GG to die, and he's protecting JS.

And now I won't get to ask him until it's too late to influence my accusation. Thanks, jerk.

I keep going back to what i know about benmage as scum. he considers himself a strong scum player, and he loves dishing out the WIFOM. him fleeing made no sense to me until i realized: the fleeing person still gets to talk to his partner.

his partner is almost certainly one of the weaker players being coached through this phase by ben himself. otherwise ben would figure he could talk his way out of it.

i've made my final choice. let's ice this fucking game. then i can whip my nuts out and piss all over that sumbitch and his gambits. i got you now, fuckers.

Good game you guys

quilford surprises me, but as soon as ben and i realized the implications of that one post accusing Kid A, we figured OS and KA would be on it for the duration

would not have wanted to be town in this

couldnt very well try to persuade OS or KA because under the setup it would be scummy. i couldnt do my usual trick of flailing until town.

OS knowing the difference brtween my fake rage and real rage was hilarious. i nearly shit myself when he called that.

i probably should have tried to be a touch scummier and ignored ben less early game. flying under the radar hurt me a bit i think.

I still feel ben fleeing was ultimately the rigjt call. a lynch he could talk his qay out of, but probably not a single accusation

You did good, Kid A. lets be town together next time haha

my biggest worries at game start were MattP and DGB. Both can read me pretty well and i'd be lying if i said i didnt tailor some of my play to keeping them in the dark

the whole thing about not raging was specifically to counter. the idea that i would turn the game into a sideshow as scum. my explanation, i knew, would be acceptable.

also, even though i frequently talk about real life, regardless of alignment, i specifically went out of my way to avoid any mention of it at all to avoid tripping DGB's scumdar

i openly supported an autolose strategy for me, to avoid tripping MattP's, knowing he knpws i feel only scum fears breaking strategies (quack mafia)

One post. all it took. im not even mad, mafia's onr wacky game someyimes

thanks, zora and.everyone else
