so i'm getting voted for lynching a serial killer...

i reread most of the day, and agreed that PookyTheMagicalBear was scummy, so i lynched him, plus it helped the game progress by moving into night... that day had already taken 2 months...

MrBuddyLee, do you have a counter-proposal?..

Fair enough tsq.

LyingBrian, about month of that 2 months went with the forum problems. I still think you did a sudden deal there. With mod announcing there'll be prods and possible deadline, why couldn't you wait for input from other players? Also, obviously I would've liked to hear from Dirge before going to night.

The fact that Pooky was a serial killer (at least that's what I presume) is one reason for me voting for you, yes. If he would've been mafia, I doubt my vote would be on you at the moment.

Mod Note:
I'm on dialup, so deadline for phase 1 of Ultimatum is extended to Tuesday night. I believe I have 5 divisions in. Will also update the Haunt at that point.

In the holiday spirit, I'm offering Quag a 9-1 split in his favor. Well, I was going to, but then I realized that would increase his temptation to kill me if he's scum. So 5-5 it is. Ho ho ho.

@olio

i think PookyTheMagicalBear's official title is Serial
Lyncher
... not sure what the difference is, but my uneducated guess would be that he has some sort of day-power, which means we still have 2 night-killing groups... also, it wasn't that quick of a decision... it was 2 weeks from when i came into the game until i made the deal... also your point about if PookyTheMagicalBear had turned up mafia would mean i'm cleared i rebuttal w/ 2 points... 1) based on PookyTheMagicalBear's title, i would say we still have 2 killing groups, which means i could be from the 2nd Mafia, or whatever; 2) i have seen a number of times, and even done it myself, where a teammate will throw another teammate under the bus to make themselves look more innocent...

i'm sorry if you think i should've given PookyTheMagicalBear more time to spin more webs of lies, but when i first read the day i had a feeling either PookyTheMagicalBear or Dirge was scum... at first i thought it was Dirge, but then i re-read, and decided it was PookyTheMagicalBear, that coupled with the fact that he was lurking made him suspicious enough for me to lynch...

A Lyncher only wins if whoever he is assigned is lynched. Not Nightkilled, lynched. I'm not sure of any further detail, but I imagine A SERIAL lyncher might get a new person everyday maybe? Maybe he has to get at least 2, 3 of his assignments lynched to win?

Brian, you don't really need a ton of points unless you're scum and planning on outliving the rest of us. You're way behind. I'll accept anything that's at least as fair to me as to you.

Interesting choice of words. I didn't say you would've been cleared, I said my vote wouldn't probably be on you.

How does a lurker/non-participator spin more lies? When I asked why you couldn't wait for input from
other players
, I didn't mean "Pooky only" with "other players" like you seem to interpret it.

It pains me to agree with LB but I think that he's right, these reasons are kinda lame to vote him. Besides, didn't you guys defend Pooky for the same reasons that you find suspicious in LB?

What the hell?

I wanted to lynch since he voted me. Once I became boss, I wanted to make sure he could at least claim, that he wasn't a power role, before I lent the dealing hand of death. (something you didn't let him do.)

So unless you have some bogus definition of wishywashyness to give me, that's well, that's just you being stupid.

Hey Dirge, wanna answer my questions directed to you? And no, I didn't defend Pooky as much as I attacked your case against him, which I still think was a weak case.
LyingBrian wrote: Post #984

You exaggerate words, you'll get flak from it. "Cleared" and "not suspicious" doesn't equal "my vote wouldn't probably be on you" in my book.

LB, on 14th of December you said
LyingBrian wrote: i don't have any plans right now to lynch PookyTheMagicalBear... that may change after my re-read, but that last move was to balance out the families better, previously, i only had 1 family influence, while you had 5... i'm giving myself another option besides myself for the lynch (Post #936), and also protecting myself in case somebody else plays a card which removes me from power... if i was so gung-ho to lynch PookyTheMagicalBear, why haven't i done it yet?..
Two days and
FIVE
posts later you execute him. That's where I think you were hasty and didn't wait to hear from other players. Also your reason for executing him at that time was:
LyingBrian wrote: PookyTheMagicalBear's play is scummy (besides the fact he mysteriously disappeared)
One more thing: Anonymities expressed his worries about you lynching Pooky and was nightkilled. At the moment I think it speaks against you.

Yeah, I guess it's burrowed in midst of all that text I've spewed out. Usually you can find questions by searching for question marks.

The whole question - "Do you think that FB being scum means that Pooky is town?" - was utterly meaningless from pro-town point of view. If you "really" meant it to be "My point is why are you all defending and deferring to Pooky?", why didn't you ask it like that?

this entire game, i've just had a gut feeling on atticus as scum. he's seemed to go through the entire game acting as a peacemaker that's completely inoffensive to everyone around him. whenever scumminess has been attributed to him (namely, pooky), he's made attempts to deflect that attention to someone else.

i'm hesitant to vote for him, though. here's why:
-pooky was the serial lyncher, obviously. i'm pretty confident that atticus was his lynch target (assuming that's what the serial lyncher IS), because it would make sense for pooky to build up a beautiful case against fishbulb so that he could breeze through the next person easily once it was shown that fish was scum. with that said, does mith really put the lynch target on a mafioso? usually, lyncher targets are pro-town individuals, and because of that, i don't want to attack atticus.
