Both he and his predecessor haven't said enough to let me get a good read on them which is why I requested a prod on him. He's usually good at generating discussion regardless of alignment as well and he isn't the worst of the lurkers so I'm opposed to a lurker wagon on him.

the turbo ozy thing is the onyl thing going on, agree with this.

and the rosso vote. there is very littlegoing on in this game. i said before i dislike people not posting and that is true of all games i am in. rosso still hasn't posted, so i placed a vote there. that is the basis, ok?

I'm making a mountain out of a molehill? All I've done is bring up things I found scummy and ask for explanations. I haven't been calling him assuredly scum because I am not myself 100% convinced of his scumminess, though he is the player I'm most wary of at the moment.

I also think a suspicion list from Ozymandius is a good idea.

My "scumdar" so to speak is not perfect, but I'll see what I can do. I am even more confused than I was before. Some players I'm liking for scum at the moment:

Rosso, his play style confuses and annoys me. I'm not getting a read on what he's trying to do. I think he has completely dissapeared from Mafiascum however... his last post being the one in which he votes kilmenator and says that that works.

ShadowLurker: After the reread, I understand more about his posts generating discussion. However, I don't see how a whole lot of it is useful. I don't quite see how "WTF" will get us closer to finding scum.

Falcone/Adele: Falcone produced a false dilemma, which I am not liking. Even if the reasons were the only two in his mind, that doesn't mean that there aren't other options, no mater how unlikely they are. And he seemed to present them as the only two possibilities. Plus, we haven't heard much from Adele, which I am not liking as well.

I also think Friday is not in the clear but I don't have much more time to delve into it now.

On another angle, I was thinking that knowing Mert as scum could help draw some conclusions using connections, which is probably not hard to think of.

Patrick voted Mert, Mert voted Turbo, Mert got "Bad Coined" by Rosso, and pretty much fades away before being modkilled. One thing I found odd is that kilmenator mentions that Rosso is voted by Mert... which did not happen.
I don't have a whole lot of time to think on this angle, so I'll try to go into this deeper later.

So here's how I will stand now:

reasons you're voting me because of the whole "false dilemma" thing and because I took a little time to get into it, posted once (criticising and voting for you, hmm...) and then disappeared (from the site at large) over Christmas? Well, I can only apologise for semi-lurking over the last couple weeks, but I feel happy defending Falcone's "false dilemma", not least because Falcone asked a question that was then ignored. The accusation was, as far as I can tell, a simple distraction technique of SL's so he wouldn't have to answer the question.

"Why did you vote me? Because of X? Y?" would have been a better wording, but this is a million miles away from "either you're the doc or you're scum; which?". I might tell my friends that I'm gonna buy a skirt, and they might say "ooh! a flippy knee length, or a gorgeous swishy floor length for formals?" knowing, as they do, that I'm unlikely to buy a mini. If a mini were on my mind though, I wouldn't snap back "Well now that's just a false dilemma you know there are skirts that don't fit into either category"; I'd know that they were just speculating. I'd say, "Nah, I was considering a mini" and they would say "Erin I beg you do not buy a mini" and I'd say "ok"

To conclude, you'll note that posts I make with this kinda timestamp tend to be digressy and have a tendency to turn into novels. Nevertheless, Ozy's vote=weak, SL's false dilemma accusation=weaker and overly convenient, but longer ago. Vote stays.

Your wide net of suspicions seem contrived at best and I find this too similar to that scumchat game if lyncher when you leapt on everybody else's cases and tried to pursue them no matter how weak they were.

What? You're basing your vote on a scumchat game?!?!?!?!?!! I can see some of the similarities in a scum chat game, but not enough to be inherently useful. Those games are crazy, fast paced, have little to work with, and have extreme roles, or as far as I've see. I'm telling you, scumchat games =/= ms regarding my gameplay.

I've never been in a scumchat game, but it does seem like Ozy's objections to your comparison between this game and a scumchat game are valid.

However, I agree with your actual point about the suspicions, and it's scummy regardless of what happened in some scumchat game. They look like the suspicions of someone who re-read the thread looking for things that jumped out as "safely" scummy.

Also Patrick's last post gives me the feeling of someone "floating" about the thread commenting when they can to avoid attention. I'll have a look at his other posts.

Well, there are quite a few Patrick posts where he just comments on something off-hand in one line, but he also has some with a good deal of content. Something to watch but not really a strike against at the moment.

The deadline hits in about 50 hours. We need to decide whether we're extending it, otherwise Ozy needs to be roleclaiming. The last thing I want is for him to claim some flying pumpkin type role 4 hours before the deadline hits.

As for my last two one liners, this game is boring me to tears. I don't think I could be particularly accused of flying under the radar this game.
