I'm sure this will bring in both good and bad. The EM people do need to realize that mafia is played differently here. It's not necessarily better or worse, just different. Hopefully they'll be able to acclimate well. Regardless, it's always nice to see new people.

I do post a lot. I am able to multitask at work so I am able to stay active. I'm certainly up for a game after I'm done with my first (because you can only do one at a time or something when you're a newbie, right?). Everyone here has been welcoming so far It's a lot different but still fun, I thoroughly enjoy scumhunting myself.

People think EM will be back. I wouldn't be surprised... not sure if Lucid could take the harassment of closing the site forever. I still don't understand why he won't give the code to anyone though.

I get why you wouldn't stay on EM. it's a completely different pace from Mafiascum. I had a hard time at first. I left and came back a few times but this last run was like 7-8 months or so. I'll miss it dearly if it is really gone. If it's not gone I'm sure I'll still play here. Nice to get away from the ridiculous people on EM.

"I replaced someone already" is fine. Anything that could identify the gamestate of a specific game is frowned on. We do a LOT of meta-analysis here and things can get broken in ugly ways if information leaks across threads.

no. Not only is this bad advice, but it is also not true. There are mini and large game limits.

Yeah, meta is overrated though. Severely overrated.

Anyway, I predict/hope that we will attract the cream of the crop over to MS because the casual (horrible) players probably won't have the enthusiasm for mafia to find another site. I would recommend all EM converts to play in a newbie game first and read the wiki and even another game to get a feel for our style.

Actually I'd suggest Micros and Mini Normals first. Newbie Games do go too slow at times, and if someone does flame out due to the different pace, I'd rather not have a bunch of raw 'newbies' be caught in the blast radius.

And, Mini Normals need more blood.
