Get ready for an influx of new members! I just joined yesterday, afraid that it wasn't an April Fools joke. As the site (www.epicmafia.com) is still down, it seems that it is being hacked a lot and the owner isn't even sure he wants to bring it back. Unfortunately there isn't another site like it out there.

What this means for mafiascum.net:

If it catches on, you might see A LOT of newbies. If they are from EM, they are going to want the games to move faster than they are now (It's only been a day and i'm sitting here tapping my foot waiting for people to post).

Anyway I just thought I'd warn you all... this could be AMAZINGGGG!

I do think that the problem will, as I said, be that people will want to play faster than things go on here. We shall see. Regardless, I'm liking the play style and the ability of really being thorough instead of just fosing the first person that says something scummy!

I replaced someone in a newbie game which was nice because i got to join after RVS but I am still feeling like it is slow. I just need to find something else to help occupy my time. Forum mafia is better than no mafia, and even if EM does come back (there's still a chance because I think the owner might just get harassed enough) I'll probably still stick around. Seems to be a good crowd and less if any trolling which is really nice

On the facebook page he said he was going to try to fix this weekend, but he told people in emails that maybe this is a sign that he should just give up on it

I do post a lot. I am able to multitask at work so I am able to stay active. I'm certainly up for a game after I'm done with my first (because you can only do one at a time or something when you're a newbie, right?). Everyone here has been welcoming so far It's a lot different but still fun, I thoroughly enjoy scumhunting myself.

People think EM will be back. I wouldn't be surprised... not sure if Lucid could take the harassment of closing the site forever. I still don't understand why he won't give the code to anyone though.

I get why you wouldn't stay on EM. it's a completely different pace from Mafiascum. I had a hard time at first. I left and came back a few times but this last run was like 7-8 months or so. I'll miss it dearly if it is really gone. If it's not gone I'm sure I'll still play here. Nice to get away from the ridiculous people on EM.

Majiffy I thought I recognized you. BBmolla there has been speculation all over the board. I've seen emails that have said he doesnt want to bring it back, emails that say at least a month, and yesterday on Facebook he did post that he would try to do it sometime this weekend. I'm not countint on anything.

I was talking a cbox for out of game, not in game... honestly its a lot of coding to do a chat game and I get that it's a different setup... I think people will adjust.
