I've been wanting to vote Rosso for some time, but it's terribly difficult for me to tell if a person with a belligerent playstyle is mafia or town while playing online. It was a lot easier to do when I played live games.
I'm perfectly willing to vote Rosso, but I want to hear from someone if his behavior is typical of games he is usually is first."You might very well think that; I couldn'tpossiblycomment."-

unvote, vote: rosso.
I obviously didn't like the bandwagon, and rogue-two's move makes it seem like they're in league together. If he comes up scum I'll be voting rogue-two tomorrow.
I don't like how maz medias just comes in says very little and then drops out again. His vote on the central scrutiniser is slightly suspicious as well, although there is at least some reasoning behind it.-

You don't think he's scum...yet he's the most likely candidate?Sherlock wrote:2 more votes on Rosso and we are done here. Is anyone going to do it? Who actually thinks he is scum? I don't really but he seems the most likely candidate.
I don't understand the reasoning there at all. This is the second time you have said that you don't think Rosso is scum, but you've still got a vote on him. It looks like you're subtly pushing for his lynch, while giving yourself an out if he turns up town.
FOS: Sherlock
Scrutinizer looks to be playing the opposite side of the fence. If you really want to know Rosso's playstyle, just look at a few of his games. Asking for an opinion like that is asking to be manipulated. The Central Scrutinizer wrote:I've been wanting to vote Rosso for some time, but it's terribly difficult for me to tell if a person with a belligerent playstyle is mafia or town while playing online. We have a deadline approaching and we've got all but one person voting. That means the person with the most votes will be lynched at deadline.
To correct Sherlock, mod says in post 9 that we need six votes to lynch. That's just one away right now. It would be nice to hear from Rosso before someone drops the hammer.-

Scratch that: I'll give him eight hours. I forgot tomorrow is the deadline. That will give enough time for someone to remove a vote if they feel Rosso is not the correct decision, and perhaps for him to defend himself. But at 8:30 CST I'm voting Rosso unless I'm given a good reason not to."You might very well think that; I couldn'tpossiblycomment."-

You might as well wait until the deadline. There's no one else with more than one vote, so it would be extremely bizarre for anyone else to be lynched without Rosso posting first. The Central Scrutinizer wrote:Scratch that: I'll give him eight hours. Honestly? You can say this is scummy if you want, but:HackerHuck wrote:

1) I doubt much can change in 4 hours
2) Someone *should* be lynched regardless. No-lynches on Day 1 are stupid IMO
and
3) I just want to "hammah" The Hammah.

1) We could ge more info from Rosso, which - if we're wrong about him - would possibly help the town. He hadn't posted for a week, so it would have been nice to give him more time to post before his lynch.
2) It would take a combination of four people unvoting or switching to a no-lynch vote to not lynch someone at the deadline. If that were to have happened, I think it would have given us a lot to debate the next day.
3) That's a perfectly legitimate reason.-

Act 1, Scene 7
“Rosso Carneis a liar.”
How do you know?
“He’s an actor. Actors are men who pretend to be someone who they aren’t. Therefore, lying; therefore a liar.”
Well, aren’t we all actors here? We each are given a role not our own.”
“Actors playing actors?”
A play within a play.
“So, in the play and in real life, we have our roles, and we must play both to the best of our abilities.”
And what abilities doesRosso Carnehave?
“He’s an actor. Actors transport you back into a world of intrigue and illusion.”
YetRosso Carneis an actor in our very world. No illusion of being transported back anywhere.
“Intriguing. He isKenneth Branagh!”
He was in ‘Hamlet’.
“He also was Hamlet.”
Or ‘Hamlet’, if you prefer. The play, not the character.
“And that guy from Harry Potter 2. Professor What’s-His-Name.”
That still leaves the question of who he is.
“The best actor in the world, either for tragedy, comedy, history, pastoral, pastoral-comical, historical-pastoral, tragical-historical…”
Come now. Do you even know what any of those technical terms of theatre mean?
“I’m just reading what the cue card says. I don’t know need to know what it means.”
It’s meaningless.
“So would his death be meaningless?”
An innocentTownspersonwould be dead.
“Tragedy, I guess.”
Possibly tragical-historical.
“Well, he’d hardly be a great Shakespearean actor if he never died.”
Actor! What do you know about death?
“‘To sleep, perchance to dream?’”
Overactor! Sleep on it.

Act 2, Scene 1
SoMaz MediasisLaertes.
“What does he do?”
He is dead.
“What did he do?”
He was manipulated into attempting to kill Hamlet in order to attempt to avenge his sister’s death.
“I have read the Cliff’s Notes; I know what happened. But what does it mean?”
He was aTownsperson.
“Ah, likeserinah80?”
You noticed her absence?
“I was watching.”
Somebody is always watching.
“We are actors; we are the opposite of people.”
So?
“So we need anAudience.”
We need approval.
“It is what sustains us and keeps us alive.”
Thumbs down, life; thumbs up, death.
“You’d make a great gladiator.”
Blood is compulsory.
“Is that what people want?”
We who are about to die salute you.
It is Day 2. 7 alive, 4 to lynch.Last edited by EmpTyger on Wed Dec 20, 2006 11:10 pm, edited 1 time in total.-

1. Serinha was normal town - at least I don't see any special description in post one.ThAdmiral wrote:Two things.
1. it looks like, from the dp, that serinha might have been a vigilante of some sort. What do you think.
2. are we now in lylo?
2. I think so - if there are three mafia.
I can't really decipher the nightscenes, but it doesn't appear that we've lost a cop yet. I'm hoping we have one and we get a favorable investigation.-

The "Thumbs down, life; thumbs up, death" line was what made me think she was a vig, but It doesn't say anything in the description so you're probably right. The main reason I was asking is because if shewasshe may have been the one who sent the hit in on maz. Otherwise we still have a working vig who's hit two townies so far or, and this is more likely, a serial killer.
Which means with three mafia (likely) and a serial killer we have a 50% chance of hitting scum.
The cop should probably speak up now.-

By the way, this is not roleclaiming... this is only a suggestion that I'm getting an incredibly strong falsetown vibe from ThAdmiral. Why would anybody want to roleclaim now? Isn't that a stupid idea, unless we are lynch or lose?
If there is a serial killer, isthis lynch or lose? Or do you think ThAdmiral is just fishing? Thoughts?

If we've got three mafia, it's lynch or lose regardless of whether there's a serial killer. Fortunately, if there is a SK, at this point he's better off targeting mafia as well.
If the cop got a read on someone still alive, I would suggest claiming.
Our odds really aren't as good as ThAdmiral believes. His logic assumes that scum are willing to vote for themselves. With three mafia they all vote for townie (or SK), so that leaves four people with a 43% chance of hitting scum (57% with SK) and three people with a 0% chance of hitting scum (25% if there's a SK).
That said, statistics only apply if we vote randomly. We need to make wise decisions and not rush it.-
