I hate subscribing to the philosophy that scum players act with blatant scum motivation. Most of the time, scum players are just trying to act town and fit in.

But the cult leader can only recruit

once

. So I could see wanting to get on people's good side. Also note that the cult doesn't get to know who recruited them. So in a hypothetical Pim recruiting DB situation, DB doesnt necessarily realize Pim is scum and stop trying to lynch him or w/e.

But town and scum are both capable of buddying - its a pretty shitty scumtell.

Furthermore, now that you've pointed out Kid A's explanation, do you want to point out the bit where it co-aligns with AP's and yours? With AP, he says it meant the entirety of the wagon on him, whereas with you, you make only specific reference to you and me. Kid A doesn't even make reference to the important part of the post, instead dismissing it as joke, which is convenient, given that you made the post early enough to still be considered RVS. You clearly think that it's me, and given that you aren't even trying to convince anyone else, it tells me that you're happy for ANYONE to be lynched other than yourself.

Explanation of Delta's vote post: Let's assume Pim has Cult leader on the brain (because he's the cult leader). We 'have' bacon, but not cookies. Implying that he is a cult leader who recruits cult members via bacon instead of cookies.

The 'We' implies a team, no-one as yet is aware of any kind of team. That you include me in the 'We' looks like either foreshadowing, or buddying. And yes, I understood his reason perfectly, and I agreed with it. I didn't realise I had to go so far as to paraphrase the argument again in my own words.

In case nobody has figured this out yet, I townread things that

could

be read as null because I wanted to shrink my own lynchpool; additionally, I can't believe I'd be that dumb as Scum anyway. Seriously, me reducing my own lynchpool gives me very little room to retract my townreads without it looking like an extreme case of backpedaling, and that would be extremely poor Scum-play from my side.

Aside from this, budding should not be a scumtell during this Day. Remember, there is one Scum and eight Town. Should Scum be lynched toDay, Town wins this game; there will be no Day 2. However, if Town is lynched toDay, any eventual buddying that has/had occurred throughout this Day is to be put under scrutiny. This is because there is no way for Scum to self-hammer on this Day: it ends the game, and it's equatable to playing against your wincon, though as Town it is another story. That's right,
