Hey just wondering, is the FTB nether intended to be permanent now? A) because I'm constructing nether portals/pathways between my spawn home, and foresty base area, and B) because if it is then people should probably take more care to link up portals properly.

I don't know what the main "spawntown" nether portal is supposed to be. I assumed it was the one down the nether brick road out in the ocean near claus. Anyways, I went in there and got to the main nether "hub" room with a couple linking books back to overworld bases, but when I went back in the portal it shot me out inside mists house I think? Anyways, I linked my spawn house nether portal pair and connected a walkway/staircase to the main nether portal. So my nether portals shouldn't mess with anyone else's.

Also, maru, just wanted to let you know that I did like the location you put my hub mystcraft portal - the sand pond by my road - but I decided to move it next to my nether portal. I decided to build a portal room addition to my spawn house and wanted to consolidate all my future portals. So the portal hub will need a new linking book which I ran out of time to do last night. Just wanted to let you and anyone else know that if you go through my portal in the hub it won't spit out next to the return portal ATM. You'll have to cross my bridge and go into the black building and its the only mystcraft portal in there currently.

Oh goodie, I'll have some company. I'm just getting ready to start bees (and trees) too, so we can learn together and maybe help each other out. I'm building a whole forestry base, actually. I've got a squeezer already (just need to power it) to make seed oil to make apiaries. For about the past week though I've had to focus on transportation between my spawn house (where my mine and farms are) and my forestry base because I ended up building my base 1000 blocks away. Should be able to finish that up this weekend and start focusing on forestry.

Cool, I've been experimenting with Thaum in single player and was thinking about building a Mage tower on a multiplayer server. How would I go about getting whitelisted and joining you guys on the MS modded server (log in name is Kinetic42)?

Someone will see it here and whitelist you (Maru, Corin, Izak, or Maestro can all do it I think). Or if you don't want to wait you can probably ping one of them on IRC and they'll see it sooner.

It sometimes changes. There is a Domain/DNS/whatever set up but I never wrote it down and too lazy to search for it until it is permanent in the OP.

If you are into mystcraft I think there are some rules regarding how many personal ages you can have and there was a spreadsheet somewhere you would have to record your age numbers in (any ages not on the spreadsheet get routinely deleted, its a server performance thing) but I don't know all the rules or where to find them.

Its not in Thaumcraft, its in mystcraft, which is also part of the DW20 modpack.
