Basically: You can't win. If you survive to a point where anyone else would win, everyone in the game loses along with you.

I posted this earlier, after seeing it used offsite. (Except that it had a kill!)

If it's known the role exists, it makes games really interesting (it tends to reduce swing, because factions become reluctant to finish each other off). I'd seriously advise against using it secretly, though.

What the heck makes that a Worst role? That's an incredibly awesome role. It's something which with proper planning can act as a super-mega-awesome version of supersaint.

During the night, the cult can recruit someone. This is not optional. The recruitment can and must be performed for as long as there is at least one surviving cultist. If the cult grows beyond X (Probably 4 depending on how large the game is) members, you will all die from a schism and the resulting holy war. You win if you are still alive when the game ends.

Just like a cult, except everyone in it wants to see the other members lynched.

You know, if the wincon was "if the cult is still alive when the game ends", this would actually be a fairly balanced way to do a cult. They have to self-regulate their numbers and keep themselves from getting too large.

That would make things too easy though, since whichever member they decided to have lynched wouldn't mind dying. Given how the cult is liquid (It doesn't need any specific leader, or even any of its founders to recruit) it is almost guaranteed to have at least one survivor at the end, effectively making being culted a guaranteed win.

The problem is that it plays backwards for town. Even if they're good at identifying cult, they'd need to somehow figure out that they could only win by lynching each other (or no-lynching), and avoiding lynching cult at all costs, which is backwards from what town would normally expect they had to do.

I think the main problem is that you can't vote without the letter e. Otherwise, it would be easy to simply explain:

What would be funny, would be a multi-power PR with the above post restriction, who, in order to use their power, had to PM the mod with any of the following commands to use them: "Recruit" (Neighborizer) "Protect" (Doctor) "Investigate" (Cop) "Prevent" (Roleblocker) or "Execute" (Kill). No other words would have meaning.

They would simply treat the cult as a bunch of mimes (With the wincon which requires any cultist to be alive) or a bunch of lynchers (With the wincon that an individual cultist has to be alive to win)
Also, the cult could simply work with the town to find the mafia (If all the mafia are lynched before the cult reaches their limit, the cult wins without having to worry)
