You all gathered around the table, determined to figure out what was going on. A finger was pointed, then they pointed back. Who could it be? One by one, you deicided to point fingers at them. Suddenly, as you thought it was him, another pulled out a gun and shot him to the ground. Turns out you were wrong. You look up, two figures have their guns drawn, each was pointed at you and your other townie's face. You closed your eyes, knowing the end was here...

BANG

BANG

Lord Mhork and Cheery Dog look at eachother and grin. They did it

Xisiqomelir - Vanilla Townie
has been lynched Day 5

Jake From State Farm - Vanilla Townie
was shot in the endgame

SafetyDance - Vanilla Townie
was shot in the endgame

Cheery Dog and Lord Mhork - Mafia Goons
have won the game

~Set-up stuff coming~

Spoiler: Mechanic
I created this game under the basis of a Monopoly inthe game. The more of one type of card you have, the more rent you can collect. For this game I wanted to have it similar, but instead of rent, you got more power.
The deed cards were split into three types
- 3-card groups
- 2-card groups
- 4-card gropus

For the 3 card groups (and the 4-card group), if a player only had 1 of the group, they had no power. With 2 of the color, they get a power. With all 3, the power is upgraded further

For the 2 card group, if a player only had 1 of the group, they had a power, but there was no garuentee it would work.
Say Player A and Player B have the same color group (Let's use Boardwalk and Park Place as the example)
- Player A wants to vig Player C, while Player B wants to vig Player D. The end result would be no vig kill went through
- Player A wants to vig Player C, while Player B wants to vig C. The end result would be that the kill went through
Once player A gets both both color group cards, the action would resolve normally (unless something prevented the kill)

In terms of the action results
- "You didn't see anything" meant the action didn't go through
- "XXX didn't go anywhere" could be either Player B went nowehere, or the action was blocked
- "XXX went here" meant the action went through and you saw the result

I think that's everything. QTs are listed in role pms and such
Oh, here's The Dead Thread

So I'm kinda disappointed in SC, I didn't expect him to quit under suspicion. I really wish more people was suspicious cheery. I knew he was scum but just couldn't convince anyone to lynch him. Nice trick by bussing him in lylo. Scum seems to be taking more risks now

I think I played badly. In retrospect I think I shouldn't have tunneled Medhi as hard as I did. I also didn't noticed both scum DPing me in the neighborhood.

I don't blame Jake for the loss either, since If I was in the same shoes, I'd have also voted for Xis.

I liked the game. And thought it was fun. Scum did a very good job. I think using lurker like that was actually quite brilliant.

Because I was certain that I had no power in this game. Players didn't trust me. So, getting vigged would have removed my randomness from the game. I did suggest to get Mhork vigged rather than me, but being the one in target, means I didn't have much power in what I said. I don't know if my attitude was the correct, but winning with town makes me more inclined to sacrifice myself and retroactively have my ideas strengthened. As it was, I felt I had very little pull in this game and in lylo I would have been a dangerous person to be with.

I think Medhi is asking is why didn't you say you had the purple card when everyone was saying that whoever has the purple card is scum!

NumberQ was town.

In post 387, numberQ wrote:Sorry for being so late to the party, but I'm all caught up now.

I have one question: Why did Lurker's claim make so many people back off? So, what, he says he's a watcher and suddenly you believe him?
What about his post-claim actions changed your mind?

Also, take a look at the mini-theme queue, at the post that introduces Monopoly Mafia. I didn't find this info in the first post of this thread. It says that deeds are randomized AFTER alignments are given. Lurker could be a watcher, but also scum.

In post 430, numberQ wrote:Lurker:

Before the claim, his content amounted to an analysis of his own wagon (though unless I read it wrong he didn't even supply any opinions of his own), a case on Mhork (which is weak, but that's already been discussed), and a few statements that almost sound like the beginnings of some investigation but stop before they go anywhere (see: 76, 89).

Then he claimed, and for some reason people forgot that the game explicitly stated that cards (ie, powers) are randomized after alignment assignments, meaning alignment has nothing to do with powers. On top of that, the claim was strange because he waited until someone specifically asked him about it to mention his Watcher role.

Post-claim Lurker has been IIoA and a promise to look at the SC issue, though he's posted since that promise without having looked at the issue.

....

So yeah Lurker should be lynched.

VOTE: Lurker

That's well ahead of either Lurker's slip in #656 or Jal's catch in #674.

That first appeared under night 2. Day 3 is when people wanted the purple card claim but you didn't claim it til day 4 when jal found out you had it.

This is when you received the card. So you did have it when we were discussing, who had it.

Well, Xis Cheery and mhork. trusted me. The rest either wanted me killed or didn't care. At the time there wasn't a mayority on people not liking me, but there were plenty that given enough time, I think me being in Lylo would have guaranteed a town loss. It's irrelevant now though.

So I looked for Virginia among my 23 PMs for this game and it did come in at Jan 24th (aka N2). I apologize for impugning your honesty post-mortem Mehdi.

This is what happened (I see Jal sussed it in the deadthread):

In post 2341, Xisiqomelir wrote:To repeat myself, I don't think Mehdi was hiding the card deliberately, I just think he missed it somehow. Since new GNR deed cards arrive in their own PMs, opening each PM in its own tab, then being called away from the computer could lead to missing it if one closed tabs accidentally upon returning. I nearly missed my Red in a similar way today.
