Early bandwagons are far less likely to be indications of mafia than indications of town trying to gauge the reactions of the other players-- in my experience. Mafia generally play it a little safer until they can feel the game out. Unless it's Rosso, who for all I can tell is insane anyway."You might very well think that; I couldn'tpossiblycomment."-

Act 1, Scene 6
“HackerHuckis now playingrich_25’s role.”
Recasts: a necessary evil.
“SoHackerHuckis evil?”
He is necessary.
“How?”
Things are moving. And if we do not move with them, we may find ourselves left behind.
A deadline has been instituted.
Day 1 will conclude at the latest in 5 days, atSaturday 12/16, 7pm (Central). I am sending notifications to each player. If no one has been lynched by deadline, the procedure outlined in the rules will take effect:
Please PM me with any questions about deadline procedure.11) Deadlines will be imposed at the mod’s discretion. The following procedure will be reached if a deadline is reached without a majority decision:
If half are not voting (or are voting for no-lynch), then day will end without a lynch. If not (ie: more than 50% are voting for players), then the player with the most votes will be lynched.
If there is a tie among the players with the most votes, I will have everyone still in the game player PM me a vote for one of the tied players.
If this still does not break the tie, I will choose who is lynched at random from among the tied players.

Well, I’ve got a few questions to get me started.
The question game seemed to draw a fair amount of discussion and it seems as if it started to come up again. Could someone explain what it is, how it started and what the purpose was?
In looking at the mod’s list of acts, it mentions the timestamp error that was discussed in thread. Was the timestamp error specific to this game or was it site-wide? I don’t remember seeing a similar problem in my other games, but the term “error” makes me believe it isn’t a part of this game.
Is there anything Rich did during the outage that I need to be aware of? I noticed mention of some Jester controversy, but I don’t really want to miss out on anything memorable or relevant.
I’m also a little confused by what the game state means. Can the mod or someone clarify?EmpTyger wrote: 9) Votecounts will reflect the contents of the thread, not necessarily the actual game state.
I’m quite confused at this point. Just trying to decipher which are real votes versus random has been quite challenging and it appears that the system issues and lost posts have really harmed this game. I was hoping to have a more solid analysis, but this is what I've come up with. Sorry for the length.
I think the toughest part of this analysis is that most of the discussion revolves around things I (Rich_25) have done. I’m not trying to be egocentric here, but it seems like most of the other discussions aren’t that serious. I can’t really explain the odd behaviour of Rich, but it is not related to my role. I do want to go on the record that I am not a jester and being lynched is not a condition for me to win.
Look at post 51 it’s almost as empty as the ones he criticized.Sherlock wrote:Can we get a reason for these votes? I try and only vote with a fairly good reason and roughly provable scumtells. Voting for no reason is really working against the town.
This post is odd, simply due to the fact that Sherlock was voting for Rich at the time.
He didn’t unvote until four posts later.Sherlock wrote:
You're not just a newb, you're an idiot! Have you been paying attention in the least. I think that you will win if lynched. Why the hell do I want you lynched?!rich_25 wrote:At least when I'm lynched my fellow townies can look back at this section and take out the scum who seem intent on getting rid of the stupid newbie.
Serinah is my top suspect, primarily based on her recent activity. She seems to be fishing here and I’m surprised no one noticed.
She has also been vote hopping lately after not voting until she was forced. First it was Bogre, then this post:serinah80 wrote: And BTW, again, I've seen my role in the mod's lenghtly posts frequently. is it the same for others or is it at random? I personally doubt it. I think he mentiones us all.... or what do others think?
Single votes mean nothing, but Bogre was at two votes. Why pull it off? To me it warrants a vote, but with deadline looming it would just be a waste.serinah80 wrote:

I really want to vote you but as I see that but one vote usually achieves nothing Iunvote. vote Rosso

Mod?
Rosso seems the next scummiest to me, but it could be his playstyle. I don’t much care for the way he seems to be directing the game. Since I find Serinah the scummiest, and she’s voting for Rosso, that’s causing me to question myself a bit.
The Central Scrutiniser has acted really strangely, so he’s also on my scum list. Based on his own belief that mafia play it safer, I’m tempted to think he is scum. He hasn’t voted too much and has been less willing to commit to an opinion. I’m leaning toward Maz’s opinion that he was being coy about the WIFOM comment. The fact that Rich was called out for his misleading use of the smiley, I would have thought that he would be more careful.
Rogue_two has a habit of pointing out my (Rich_25’s) scum traits, but has rarely backed them up with votes. That might relate to the jester issue, but it strikes me as a little odd.
Jules hasn’t posted much, but he does have a good point here.
I don’t find ThAdmiral to be scummy from what I have seen.Jules wrote:Interesting that rogue_two decides to vote for bogre as opposed to rosso when he seems to suspect both equally and rosso is the one leading the votes. Surely if you suspect him to be scum, you would want rid of him?
I don’t understand why Bogre jumped on the ThAdmiral bandwagon, but I’m not getting a scum feel from him.
Maz is just being Maz as I’ve seen him play in another game; however, he seems to be toned down a bit here. We’ve only been in one game, so I don’t know if that really means anything.
In summary, I’m leaning toward scum on Serinah, Rosso, and the Scrutiniser. The others are still up in the air to me.
Since we’ve got a deadline approaching, I’m going to go ahead and
Vote: Rosso
Hopefully this will lead to some more discussion.
