I removed the crappy mod (twilightforest) that was crashing the server in the first place.

We can't not have Twilight Forest -- it adds so much extra to the game and certainly isn't a 'crappy mod'. It wasn't crashing the server before so why is it suddenly crashing it now? Isn't it something else that's been added that is causing some sort of conflict?

It is fixed in the DW20 5.2.0 update (we think), so when that pushes recommended, we will, as always, upgrade.

it will be back, likely tomorrow or thursday. the update is published and available, just waiting on recommended before i instal it. ya'll can both log in and get to the point where you have a TF portal ready to go, then wait till it gets re-added when we update rather than QQing because i sacrificed 48 hours of your happiness to stop the server from crashing every time someone entered TF when i had no way to re-start it without Corin

once you have read-FTP access, you will see servers on the server list you have access to, you click the server name go to files on the left, FTP, grab those details (password is safe as login) and use a program like FileZilla to get the files from the server to your computer.

Done. I registered with Rhinox (although in hindsight I probably shoulda kept it consistent with my minecraft ID but w/e)

I'll take FTP access for both servers (FTB and vanilla) and I'll look into the feasibility of doing manual backups whenever I'm done with a playing sessions.

Yup just checked I do have chat window access. Now I just need to figure out how to find the files. I'll do that later on. I can't actually see the files through the control panel so I'm guessing I'll only see them when I connect to the server with Filezilla or similar? And I'll use my credentials I just created today as username and password for access then?

OK I think I need halp. I've got Filezilla but I'm unable to connect to the server.

For FTB, what should I be using for Host, Username, Password, and Port?

I tried using just 46.105.234.4 with no port, and my multicraft username I just created. It connects to the server but password authentication fails:
