I paved the first OW road (to my knowledge) from my place to claus' area along the coastline. It's a scenic coastal highway
From there Klaz can connect easily, and I'm gonna connect the little village near spawn next as well.

I'll probably start researching what I need to do to prepare for railcraft stuff tomorrow.

PS I'm jealous of klaz's mining turtles.

BTW, we don't need bukkit for chest protection either. Besides the IC2 protected safes, a little know function of the ender chest mod is that you can click an enderchest with a diamond to make it private as well... Also many BC machines can be made semi or completely private.

So when you click it with a diamond, does it claim that combination as solely yours? Can others not create chests with the same combo? And how to you un-claim a chest?

IIRC It change the chest combo to being the collor combination + a diamond added by you. so you should empty the chest before you add the diamond.

@Claus, Rhinox, Maestro, IzakTheGoomba, MME: I would highly suggest you all register at http://multicraft.ms-hosting.org/ (as soon as it is back up again), and them N can give all of you FTP access to the server if he so chooses to allow Claus to run his scripted backups, and rhinox his as well.

I might be being dumb, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to register? And the multicraft documentation has nothing on it.

also those two lockables are nice but also still quite expensive. plus having EVERYTHIGN lockable would be nice.

I'm not sure if ALL machines can be made private, but manymachines I have made so far have a "public, semi-private and private" setting. Semi-private allow people to interface with the machine, but not to destroy it. Private does not allow any interface at all.

You may think that having everything lockable would be nice (I kinda disagree, but that is beside the point) - but there need to be a compromise with the chance of bukkit fucking up the server again

More or less.... when you click it with a diamond, it creates a separate combination associated with your character - say, "white white white - Izaak", so that other people can't create the same combination, but everyone still can use the "white white white" combination normally. I think that if you break and re-place the chest, it gets cleared.

as long as we instal it from the start, bukkit shouldn't fuck up our server with this way of instaling it. there are very many other FTB server running all of the different modpacks with bukkit successfully, there should be no problem in getting ours to either.
