Thaumcraft (i'm guessing because they always have an aura node) has new structures that occur rather frequently. Obsidian structures called "Obsidian Totems." They spawn zombie pigmen, which is nothing. They come with a chest. I found a portal gun in one. <3 thaumcraft.

And maybe it all depends on your seed. I don't know. My SSP spawned me right next to one, and a village, and a Barrow Hill, plus three ravines and a lava lake.

It can autogrow Silverwood Saplings (and anything else) like Bone Meal 2.0.
Oh, and the fancy Axe chops trees from the top down no matter where you click on the tree.
Did not get the Rod of Nine Hells to work. What's it do and how can I get? The sword hits multiple enemies on left click and when parrying (holding right click) it creates a wind vortex that blows all enemies and projectiles away from you. The Pick is meh, the Hoe is pretty cool IMO (and has ridiculous durability), the Axe is a lumberjack's dream.

How about something like this then? Everything else seems unnecessary, since we're going to spend a good amount of time gathering resources at the beginning anyway.

Take off stone, add iron shovel. Stone is easier to get yourself than an iron shovel, imo.
I spent a little time on the nilla server yesterday for the first time in a while. Only had time to gather some resources for what I'm planning on doing, but I noticed when I was chopping trees at the tree farm is spawn town there was a lot more lag than I remember, especially for me being the only one on at the time. Is there any way to make that go away?

Check your graphics settings there was no lag when I was last on (yesterday).
Alright I'll try and see if it makes any difference. I've always been able to play on pretty high settings but maybe the updates add some things that stress my computer a little more.
