Oh, by the way, I think one of our first "events" on the Modded Server should be a literal "headhunt".
Everyone who /in's gets a Vorpal 5 Diamond Sword - otherwise unenchanted. Then we run around killing eachother.
No stealing heads - everyone gets a stack of Charms of Keeping 3 just for the event.
First one to get everyone else's heads wins their own head + something awesome; we all make off with some cool decorations.

definitely okay with this. Definitely.

i say we do so in a specially-created Mystcraft age made by the admins, which we will keep linked at spawn as a sort of memory world from when we did it.

its funny because i made much the same point yesterday when everyone was all BUT WED WANT TO KEEP ALL ORU VLAUABLES MAYBE LIMTI EVEYRONE TO NINE ITEMS APIECE?!?!?
and i was all "so you'd keep your mobgrinder, your turtles, your supersolarhelms, your badass diamonds, and some top-tier machines. what does mist keep, 9 sticks?" to show how unfair that was

No, the most fair way would be to all start out with the same things - either a predetermined kit of items (which may or may not be awesomeSolarHelmsandshit) or nothing. EDIT: But I guess you mean leave the decision about what to do with the players - that I agree with.

I only say it's fair my way because it would literally come down to a player choice, where, when someone else starts out with something, they can't bitch because they didn't start out with it, simply because they chose not to. Though, your way is just as fair.

I'm really REALLY not trying to be argumentative, but you're saying that it's fair for people who're not of equal wealth in the first place to choose which of their items they take with them, when the very inequality in their wealth makes it extremely unfair. But then again, it all goes back to how much time people put into their experience, etc. so you could argue either way. Point is it's all subjective.

PMins izak and Maru right now about possible kits of items that should hopefully resolve all issues.
Can we put this to rest at least until we come back with our ideas? For all we know you might all love what we come up with and this whole discussion was pointless.

No... It would be nice to have my precious crafting table. And the 2 heads I have
PEDIT: And I don't really care about wealth or that I have nothing XD I could always be 9 extra slots for anyone wanting to take over extra stuff

Exactly. I'm not trying to start a debate or anything.
I respect all opinions, though I may not agree with some of them. Coincidentally, I agree with this one.
And yes, let's drop the subject for now. Bring it up once the OP's discuss OP business among themselves. Good OP's are Good.
