The ChickenChunks Chunk Loaders are perfectly alright - the main reason I prefer them over the RailCraft World Anchors is because they are coded better and should reduce lag, as izak says, but they also:

- don't require Ender Pearls to "power" them
- have a much more costly crafting recipe, which should bring down their use
- have a clear chunk-loading size and limit for non-Op players
- look 10x cooler, with that little floating, spinning orb on top

I'm trying to figure out if I can just make sure the minimum number of chunks is loaded, so that reduces lag.

chunkloaders have a toggle-able lazer that spins in a circle in the area they keep loaded

Compact Solars replaces (nearly) advanced solars, I am assuming. Charge Pads allows you to recharge IC2 energy items by standing on them, http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index ... eadID=7892 . Honestly, I'll help rebuild anything that needs to be rebuilt. My only true loss is going to be my thauminomicon discoveries, however, M, I believe you can help with that. I don't feel it would be "cheating" because we've already done every bit of the work.

First instinct is that I'd be against switching, but I haven't looked at compact solars yet. If that's a viable replacement for advanced solar panels I may change my mind. Though I'm also quite partial to advanced machines...

But if we do change, we should probably start over again.

Bone, dav, will the crash tower group stay together after the switch?

If so, maybe we need to talk about what items we should bring with us over the switch, to best benefit us.

The 9 things I think I keep on the switch is:
My u. Solar helm, my nano chest, my qlegs and qboots, along with my jet pack
The two hyper spawners
The mass fabricator
And a stack of diamond, or however many diamonds we have on the switch.
