Pariah
replaces Machiavellian-Mafia, who has been unactive, even when prodded.
StallingChamp
replaces ChannelDelibird, who was asked to be replaced. Lousy school...

Still awaiting both nightchoices.

King Glork
takes the throne for Day 2. All eyes are on you, your majesty. Town, prepare to get Glork'd!

And, in more death-related news,
Thok
has been taken out by the assassins. Like most of you, he was an innocent Townie.

Day 2 begins! Vote counts have been reset.

Same as last game, a vote by me does *NOT* mean an execution. When I Glork somebody, you'll all know it. ;)

But I'll start off with
Vote: Pooky, MrBuddyLee, Pablito
. I'm going to read over CTD's posts soon to see how I feel about him.

Sorry for not posting much yesterday, lost interest in the game, but decided that since I should not need to be replaced, to not let myself be

My thoughts on everyone:

Amnesiaslay-Needs to post more content, but looks protown so far

Cardb0ardb0x-Has been acting like a moron; don’t really consider this scummy though

CrashTextDummie-Needs to post something productive

Dead Rikimaru-Needs to post something productive

Fritzler-has been unhelpful, but since its apparently normal for him; and because I was unhelpful myself, I don’t really find it suspicious

Glork-has been very helpful, and so far looks to be protown

Mastermind of Sin-He was helpful in the early part of yesterday, what happened in the later part? And I’d like to see why he was so convinced of Phoebus being protown yesterday. Though I liked his logic in Post 434.

Mert-His logic has been pretty crappy this game; I’m leaning towards him being scum
Vote: Mert
; some examples of his poor logic are was extremely confusing; as he apparently contradicted himself. He said in post 104 that I didn’t see the point in votes this game, and when I asked him two posts later when did I say that, he responded in post 111 by saying that “I didn’t say that you didn’t acknowledge the point of voting,” which is contradicting his last post.

MrBuddyLee-I’m having problems getting a good read on him

Nightson (rep. Vikingfan)-I agree with most of his posts so far, leaning towards him being protown

Pablito- His early defense of Glork was scummy, especially Post 47, where he says there is an unspoken case against Glork, which I fail to see how there could have been at that time. His Post 89 is very scummy, first he says that cardboardbox’s post is scummy, and yet lets it be because he is new; then he says that MBL’s comments on cardboardbox makes him feel awkward, but when asked by MBL to say why, never respondes. I agree with his Post 164, though I find it interesting how he changed his mind about my early game votes. Pablito’s votes and subsequent refusal to explain why he put them in Post 360 seems odd, as the reasoning behind them would most likely have been more effective at causing discussion, as he later realized for himself.

Pariah (rep. Machiavellian-Mafia)—Needs to post something productive

petroleumjelly- his saying that he is protown this game was blown out of proportion in my opinion, they were odd, but not as odd as some people were making it out to be. petroleumjelly-his choice of giving the town discussion topics in Post 57 was both interesting and should have been for the town; too bad no one followed him on it.

MrBuddyLee wrote: Dear PJ,
Why are you "outing" a strategy of mine which has proven helpful in nailing scum but which doesn't really work once it's broadcast to the members of a game?
I don't know that your strategy of purposely acting scummy has helped you nail scum: it's more your ability to catch scum that helps you catch scum. I doubt you acting 'purposely scummy' is not a very big factor in whether or not you get nightkilled in the first place. What I'm saying is that when townspeople (if you are town) purposely act scummy, it throws off my scumdar (and probably everybody else's), and can distract from finding actual scum. And of course, purposely acting scummy as town allows you to get away with acting scummy as scum. If me "outing" your strategy will get you to stop doing it, then I have no regreats. It might minimally help you, but it makes things much more difficult for everybody else.
Agreeing completely, though I’m not sure that PJ interpreted MBL’s post correctly.

Phoebus-His explaining bandwagon votes as gut votes was scummy;
Vote: Phoebus

PookyTheMagicalBear-I’d like to see more content, especially his response to Glork’s counterargument; though his post 68 brings up some good points about the Kingmaker

spectrumvoid-Can’t get much of a read from him; but her request for a List of Execution in Post 236 seemed like it was a bit on the early side to be requesting one.

StallingChamp (rep. ChannelDelibird)- His vote on Mert was slightly odd, but I’m not seeing why he was so seriously considered yesterday

Thok-Looks like he’s protown so far; haven’t seen anything scummy out of him

Twomz- mostly seemed to be bandwagoning early on, and not actually posting much of substance; and has pretty much lurked since
Vote: Twomz

UberTimmy-Needs to post something productive

Vaughn-Needs to post more content and stop lurking

Yosarian2-his actions so far make me think he’s most likely pro-town

My thoughts on yesterday’s execution:

I think Rosso Carne was acting plently suspicious to be executed, as neither ShadowLurker nor himself had been of any help; Rosso especially was acting in a way that would not help the town find scum

MOD EDIT: Fixed some disastrous formatting problems.

Yeah, that seems about right. That's normal Day 1 behaviour for me, except the lurking part, i don't normally do that. But me not bandwagonning and making posts w/ substance is more of a scumtell than the other way around. *shrug*

What exactly do you want me to respond to?

You have your opinion on what you did and I have mine, arguing it one way or the other won't make any difference, it is a matter of opinion. I found no reason to waste the town's time arguing over whether your actions were in the interests of what I've said or what you've said because ultimately it is a matter of opinion and we can't really prove it one way or the other.

Hey, here's a theory.

Bird's scumpartners kicked him in the nuts overnight and told him to start posting so he didn't screw them over.

Anyone else got a better theory for why an indifferent player suddenly puts together a lengthy analysis?

My stand on bird: Uncertain. He could be a townie who wised up (our night was pretty long so he could have taken that time to read) or a scum who got yelled at my his scum buddies. I think it's hard to tell.

I FoSed everyone jumping on the bird1111 wagon because he made a big post and said I would update some of those to votes. That will now be more difficult as the posts I found pretty scummy have disappeared.

Aww, the ball-kicking discussion was deleted. :( That was the best part of this whole game.

In any case, my opinion is that MBL's theory is more than plausible, and in reality, likely. Apparently the people agreeing with this theory are somehow "scummy", but I was wondering about that
before
MBL proposed it, so it's not as if I was simply hopping on his idea.

The fact is, I fail to see when the "change of heart" could have occured. Bird1111 failed to post for
three weeks
, and during those three weeks, he was very clearly prodded at least once by BMQ, after which he still did not post. I am not understanding what could compel Bird1111 to make a large analysis post
during the night
without some sort of nudging from
somebody
. BMQ seemed to make it pretty clear that he was going to replace Bird1111 (which I think would have been the correct action), but Bird1111, from what I understand, asked to
not
be replaced so that he could post. I suppose that could possibly be classified as a 'nudge', and that my execution of Rosso could be seen as a 'wake up call', but I am more prone to believe his decision was influenced by external factors.

He should have gotten the 'nudge' from the prod I had sent to him, and the 'wake up call' when I put him on my List of Execution in the first place. His reaction is simply of such an untimely manner that I seriously doubt it's sincerity.

I don't exactly recall if I had any other of my opinions on other players deleted at this point, and I will hopefully be able to review the thread sometime during the weekend to regather my thoughts, although I suspect my analysis post of Day One will be highly consistent with my thoughts on today.

I thought Bird might have gotten the nudge from either the mod, or his scum partners. I'm not ruling out either option, but it's difficult to get a good read on bird because he's said so little all game. Hm... *wonders if that's a scum tactic*
