Chaos and confusion are the tools of scum. What seems sincere could just as easily be malicious.

I am also happy with my vote on Bacde.

Here's my thinking:

I have no leads at the moment. From what I've seen, Pooks is the strongest player here. If he is town, he is an incredible asset to our team regardless of whether or not he is a power role. He's got a good nose for scum. It is entirely possible he is scum, but I want to give him some time to do his thing.

Having a good nose for scum is useless if he knows how to fake it. If he's scum, I hope you're not going to follow him into the dark. And is the "I have no leads" your justification for "I'm happy with my vote?" cuz that seems like a contradiction to me.

You also have failed to post a single reason why Bacde/Ibby is scum. Granted, for Romulus all you gave was a quoted post, but that's more than you gave Bacde.

Your common "I'm posting just to post" disturbs me.

I'm thinking that Romanus is probably legit on this one, even if he was being a little sloppy.

Well said, Glork. I tend to agree. I was kind of leaning that way when I saw Romanus try to probe himself town by saying he called out the SK. "I'm trying to generate discussion" really isn't a tactic used by an experienced player.

Also, take into account the fact you didn't vote when Romulus called your bluff. Why didn't you vote when you threatened it?

Then you vote Romulus again and switch it over to Pooky when things are getting hairy.

If it's that easy to lynch Romanus and nobody is standing up for him, he probably isn't scum.

What I do is examine the game - to myself, mind you, not in a million spamesque posts that rehash previous points. What I do is analyze people in a vaccum vs. in interaction with specific others vs. in interaction with the entire town. What I do is get meta'd every game by people like you who damn my posting style (yet who I rarely see doing the same to other, more prolific players). What I do is get pissed off that this happens

Agreed. There is no reason to go after PWS anymore, we should be trying to lynch more mafia members instead.

I'd like to try something I haven't done before, but have liked to do. I want everyone to go through the list of players, and ask themselves, "If this person were mafia, who would their partner be?" We can assume at this point that we have a standard 3-person mafia, unless someone has evidence to the contrary. What I want is for everyone to go through and assume each person on the list, including themselves, are scum in turn, and list 1-2 people that they believe would be the likely partners to those scum. At this point we need to be looking ahead and capturing the connections as to who the possible pair could be, because even if we catch one of the scum today, we could still be at a loss as to the other scumpartner. I'd like to get everyone's thoughts on this now as opposed to later, in case we mislynch today and lose the opinion of another protown player. Feel free to post an argument as to why you think they are the partners, though I suppose if you're lazy you don't have to. Personally, I doubt I will be able to get to this until next week, since i have a quiz tomorrow and a test friday, and I'll be gone all weekend. However, I will try my best to get a reread done.

I was still convinced Ibby was scum after yesterday's exchange where she got really defensive early and called Glork and I "opportunistic." This game has unfortunately stagnated way too often and I got trigger happy. What should be a sure town win just got a little bit harder because of me. Sorry.
