This game started at day. If we do no lynch, its not as bad as a game that started at night - and cops/vigs/docs/whatevers can draw upon the info that is available from the first 17+ pages of the game. Whether we lynch or not is going to be based on the continuation of one of the existing bandwagons or simply a falling away. This early in the game, the mafia are probably quite capable of deflecting the lynch to a bad one. Whichever. Its Oct 3 where I am, and nearing that deadline fast.

Incidentally Shadow Lurker - posting Red X's as rebuttals is fairly futile. Please actually argue...

I did NOT play the n00b card. I am saying that what you're calling scumtell is something that anyone would do had they not played a lot of games, not that H2 Da Tizzle is a n00b and we should forgive him.

Basically, I'm attacking your actions, not defending his.

But what do I know. I'm a n00b.

I thought H2 da tizzle/theman was more scummy, he disagreed, but we both agreed that our vote remaining on H2/the wasn't going to accomplish anything as no one else was voting him.

I disagree. People who are newbs are still likely to exhibit overdefensiveness as scum than town right out of the gate like that over a
random vote

It seems to me what you've just said translates to:

People who are newbs who act overly defensive are equally likely to be scum or town.

or

People who are newbs are just as likely to be scum.

I didn't single him out, but I have my facts straight. He moved the vote, not you. And I consider the bandwagon hop something to be noted about both of you or I wouldn't have pointed it out in a post directed towards you specifically.

I disagree with your disagreement? I think newbs are more likely to not understand random votes and random wagons and respond with a 'what did I do?' reaction regardless of their alignment.

By the way, you seem to be focusing on H2, but what do you think about my observations about theman? I think he's more suspicious out of the two heads myself.

I'll go back and check, but I believe by the time they started talking they were already the subject of a 3-vote bandwagon. Hardly overdefensiveness over a random vote, as you call it.

As Yosarian said. If you're going to attack someone, they'll naturally going to act defensive (noob or not) especially if they're top of the list before they even spoke.

Calling their response scummy because they are defensive is craplogic. You're being overdefensive about your beliefs yourself whenever someone mentions doubts about them.

And no one is playing the "noob card" either. In fact, in my own experience newbie scum tend to be careful (sometimes too careful) as to not draw too much attention.

Me too.

If nothing else, I think there might really be something to combining personas like that. At least, I think I might do that from now on.

*relents* okay, I'll keep at the PBPA, but it's a humungous project, so there's not enough time for it to be a useful tool today. Sorry, it's just not do-able when I've got a full-time job, a stinky cold and a theme mini to set up.

Combining the names isn't really a new thing. We had a huge discussion of hilarious name combinations in scumchat long before this game ever game ever came close to existing.

:? I'm... not....

It's not
about
the amusement factor - I'm saying, it makes it easier to see who's saying what. Well, for me, but then I'm much more used to mini games so 17 players is the upper limit for me.

I think a goal for day 2 would be to come up with official names so that we reduce confusion.

But for now, let's ring someone or up or force eon/re2fan to claim so that we can make a more informed lynch. I don't want us to all just lie idly and let the eon/re2fan lynch occur as is without any new votes or unvotes.

so people: a call to arms! care bear stare! tora! tora! tora! leeroy jenkins! it's clobberin time! earth! fire! wind! water! heart! when your powers combine, I am captain planet!

let's go!
