@Guille I don't think the line of thinking was irrelevant. I know the roles are given out randomly but I figured because I was unaware that scum could talk to each other before the game during the confirmation stage and majiffy said that the people who are scum DID in fact use that time to talk it would mean that someone who knew that they could do that was guilty of being scum. apparently that would leave out me. so there are 6 of you left who could have possibly known that, or not known that. since i'm newer to this sight I guessed that someone with experience on this site had to have known that they could talk during that time. I feel i understand now that it was a pointless thing to state but the logic makes sense to me even if it isn't helpful at all.

Just woke up. I will insert by two bucks (inflation): I personally have experienced what is like to be on IM with someone while playing a game of Mafia. My intention was to honor the rules at all costs. I chose to make an agreement with that player not to even talk on IM to avoid giving away anything accidentally. Because both Mollie & Mantis love Mafia, I see them holding that same intention (but due to their experience, I doubt they are concerned about slipping and its old hat by now); they have been in DOZENS of games together and have played close to 100 games overall; this is the sort of thing you find with newbs, not vets who love the game.

I really just want to say that I highly doubt either mollie or mantis would be cheating. this being said, if there was anything to shrimp's claim that they seemed to know each other's alignment it would mean that they were scum. This is possible and makes sense but I highly doubt that is actually a correct interpretation of either mollie's or mantis' game. that's my personal opinion. i could be wrong though.

I seriously thought that the people who had signed up for a majiffy game had actually played with majiffy and would know that "mafia shit talk" is an acceptable form of practice amongst some players. I apologise for going overboard on the trolling if you knew the site I came from we do this shit to each other all of the time I do not do it all of the time only in certain situations when I think it might be acceptable and I thought this was one of them!

My personal opinion on grooming is that it is an unprovable accusation until the person actually in question flips scum or the game ends. I think the entire concept of grooming is easier for scum to manipulate than for town to use for benefit and at best it is just window dressing (or garnish if you will) for an already established case.

Can you please explain the bolded?

Basically that it's easier to gain info from the early parts of the thread after some flips, because you can:

1) See who scum was being weird with (awkward buddying/distancing or ignoring entirely).
2) See reactions to wagons on now confirmed alignments.
3) Look at the NK's posts and see why they might've been the target.

I can't do any of that on D1.

Prohawk, i agree. I am too since she was so good at what she was doing in the beginning, but has flaked out. however, she did just say she was busy with school so that does make complete sense in the matter. I would just hope that she now starts to contribute again.
