Nominate Klick for Rising Star

So, Klick used to be this, and was a serial flaker who used to join a shit ton of games and then disappear from all of them soon after. Now he stays in games and posts in them, and still does weird shit on occasion, but you can see reading through his games that he is improving fast (mostly because he's in so many damn games). I've played with him three times recently: Newbie 1270, Micro 28, Newbie 1272. In Newbie 1270, he replaced in, didn't do much, got lynched because I didn't like his predecessor, so that's not really that big of a deal. Micro 28, he was a serious town buddy of mine, and ended up being killed night 2 because there was clearly no way that anyone was going to execute him, and in 1272, he helped energize a town that was pretty much fucked in 5p LyLo, was regarded by town by pretty much everyone, correctly identified me as scum, and only *barely* didn't get the lynch through. I don't know if he just needed a new account or something, but wow.

I've seen him around in some games, and I can confirm that he's a lot better than he used to be. He's not perfect, he's still a little flawed, but he's a whole HECK of a lot better than he used to be, and he's getting better each time.

He managed to improve enough to not be able to blindly shoot immediately as a gambit in my Masons and Mafia game. Instead he managed to fool the whole town with a bold Mason claim and he got the only people that suspected him lynched.

as Serial Killer (The Louvre's Mummy) in Mini 1327: Murder in the Louvre.

This was a game where flavor could be used as a scumhunting tool. Vi had no safeclaim, and was essentially told that being caught on flavor would be the player's fault.
The role was a compulsive serial killer who left very flavorful clues as to who had performed the kill, unless Vi picked up a cumulative post restriction that would

also

make it obvious what the character was. Two scum-kills attempts (bulletproof), two investigations (flavor and track), and Vi still managed to steal the win from the last two Townies in a vanillaless game stacked with Town power.

I know I'm not around here as much as I used to be, but I lurk and read quite a bit. I sincerely feel that Reck should be nominated for The Community Contributor Award for all of the work that he has done putting together The Reckoning last year and the one coming up, as well as the mini-meetups that he has orchestrated. I have yet to attend one yet, but I will. It shall happen.

The NC Scummer Commune has grown and flourished in big part due to Reck. As far as I know, that's the first group of its kind that spawned from Mafiascum and Reck had a huge part in organizing it.

On top of that, I think Reck's work on Radioscum producing Mashups and Mafia goes to show his commitment to this community. Over the course of about 15 months, Reck spearheaded 3 seasons with a grand total of 25 episodes featuring a few dozen different MS members. This brought mafia discussion to a whole new level, in my honest opinion.

I think Guys Part 2 needs a mention as well. That thread is a safe haven for members to openly talk and not be too worried about ridicule. I doubt that the thread would still be going if not for Reck.

All in all, I think Reck has done a lot for the community here and that's my two cents.

Oh, and a heads up from the SSC: we're going to start asking for volunteers to judge soon. We'll probably get judging going mid-to-late December, and any game that doesn't end before Jan 1 2013 will not be eligible for the deadline. We want to try and get judging done earlier this year so we have time to properly plan out the ceremony and get it written, so if you're interested in judging, stay tuned for the announcement.
