I think the inventions would be on sale from the inventor VIA the moderator, so you would order from the moderator, the moderator would tell the inventor who ordered what, and then the inventor would visit them. It is a bit complex though.
If you would die, the player who killed you/hammered you dies instead. If you get targeted by someone that wouldn't kill you, you die instead. You win with town
You are the
innocent scum
You show up innocent in investigations. If you die, the person who killed/hammered you will be blocked until the end of the game. You can ask the mod to publicly announce you as innocent. You win with scum
[Modnote: If solicited, the mod will announce him as guilty. Will also appear scum to investigations]
Every night you may throw a tomato at someone. They will be covered in tomato and be devoured by any vegetarians in the game. You win with town
You are the
vegetarian
Every night you may choose a player's house to visit. If they have any meat in their homes, you will lock them in the house for the next day out of spite, preventing from posting or voting. You win if there are no more meat eaters at the end of the game.
[Modnote: every other player has meat but 1 tomato thrower ]

Why would vegetarians eat people? People are meat you know.

Probably quite easy to win with. (There are various ways to make it harder, by making the town having to give up something to give the Obstacle a win, or by making the action that gives the Obstacle a win something unclear, like posting a particular word in the thread that has no obvious relation to the game.) Also allows for the possibility of a nobody-wins endgame if you're left with just one townie and one obstacle.
win when you have broken at least 5 rules of this game without getting modkilled.
edit: grammar nazi'ing my self.

As long as you are in the game, a random town-aligned player other than yourself will die at night. You win with the town.
Semi-equivalent to a jester, but without the wincon. Also, there is the 'to claim, or not to claim?' question. 'Should I make town lynch me or am I better than those fuckers at finding scum?'
"TeCh was a textbook pro-town obv town all-around town townie.
the entire town decided to lobotomize itself and lynch the most obvious townie in the game" crypto
"Techno played a hell of a scum game, one of my best newbie scum players" bv310
"Tech, you carried my fat ass, that Vig shot took more balls then I had" AP
. You investigate as scum, but all investigations on you are naive and so incorrectly reveal you as town. You win with the town.
(Discussion: No, this isn't 100% equivalent to VT, and it could be a nasty shock for a player who assumes it is. Although it would be if it were somehow allowed into a Normal, it has bad interactions with at least one common Theme role.)

You must post 100 times per day. If you fail to do so, your alignment will change everytime you fail.
You will not be given any information on what your alignment was to begin with, nor will you be given role informations on any other players when your alignment changes.
You won't even be notified when you fail your mark.
If you fail to post 100 times per day for 3 consequtive days, you will be modkilled.
If other players complain about your posting, you will be modkilled.

double (or higher) posts count as only 1 post.

That's really not all that bad as long as you know about the double rule (except for the lack of knowing your own alignment which always just sucks). I think I've done around that much in a day before.
I disagree. You're probably town or scum (if you're 3rd party with a strange win con you're just screwed). If you're scum you can win by living to the end. If you're town you win by just lynching scum. In that case I'd probably try to lynch scum while living to the end (kind of like a town survivor) so that'd cover both main ways to win.
