Well Boo, the point of the pro-town roles is to help us lynch mafia right? So even though there is an even chance of lynching a mafia vs a pro-town role it's better to try. Lynching a known innocent gets us nowhere.
That being said I don't think Wacky can be counted as a known innocent. That "choosing a bandwagon" is indeed suspicious.-

I wasn't trying to start a bandwagon on Wacky. I was also suspicious of Boo and my vote for Wacky was due to Wacky behaving like Boo by claiming "certain" proof on Romanus and then jumping on a different bandwagon. Boo is now doing the exact same thing and he's really pushing hard to sacrifice Wacky.
I have yet to understand the whole idea behind making a claim. If more people think like Boo, we'll just end up with people claiming that they are the Knight Templar or some other special role. A claim doesn't get us anywhere unless someone claims to be mafia.
Boo's argument has a point, but -
He assumes that we have a number of "special" roles that is roughly equal to the number of mafia. This is my first mini game, but that seems like a bit of a reach.
He's also really defensive. The only person to question Boo's logic was his target, Wacky. That's a natural reaction to an attack, so this second quick post (within 15 minutes of his first)
seems very reactionary.Boo wrote:wow
apparently logic doesnt work on this forum?...
...have any of you ever considered that wacky is *gasp* LYING about his role?
I'm leery of such aggressive play.
Vote: Boo-

How is choosing a bandwagon suspicious? When it comes to trying to find out who's mafia, I tend to get the most hints when someone is under pressure - mafia sometimes do the most stupid things (whether or not they're the ones being pressured or not). With 3 people being potential bandwagon candidates, trying to start a new one without much to go on would be suspicious.

If you look at past games, you'll see that I always appear suspicious, and especially on Day 1 or 2.Wiktionary wrote: flippant
lynching a vanilla townie is better than doing a random lynch on someone who could be useful to the town. 4 or so scum means 1/3 odds of a random lynch being scum. ~4 pro town roles mean 1/3 of lynching a useful player.[/quote
Well yes, it's better than arandomlynch, but who's to say we can't find scum on Day One? Whomsoever we lynch today won't be truly random, surely? It'll be based on who appears scummiest. I agree, there is every chance Wacky is lying but we should still be analysing everyone to see who looks scummiest rather than rushing in and lynching the first person who claims vanilla.
Actually, I tell you what might help clarify things for me: do you think Wacky is scum or vanilla townie? Please give reasons for whichever you choose.
In the meantimeVote: Boo.-

Seriously is it me or all of his posts in those 5 pages we made are very pointless. I just re read and it seems he tries to avoid attention.
Fos: Jerry
I was going to post the exact same thing.
Other points of interest though,
Wacky, that claim seemed to come out a little bit odd solely because no one requested it. However I understand why you did it.
Boo, I uderstand what your trying to say, and I've often questioned the idea of doing that in a few games, but the way you seemed to react to the questioning of your idea has got me a little worried.Once Nightfall comes, everyone's dead...-

i dont know what wacky is, its day one. there is no way possible to know who is scum and who isnt on day one unless the cop comes forward.
'acting' scummy on day one doesnt mean anything. im sure the people who are scum are trying very hard to be normal
i can already see mafiascum's playstyle is widely different from where i usually play mafia (heavengames)-

It's your try reluctance totrythat worries me, though. It may be the case that we don't have any information to go on in Day One and we will have to look for scum, but thinking to the future - do you think it's better to quickly lynch Wacky just because we won't be losing much or would it be better to see how people interact with one another so that when we get the information on Wacky's alignment we can start looking at partners etc?-

UNVOTE
Yes, lynching a vanilla townie is better than lynching a power role, and mathematically, logically, etc, betting the odds, Wacky is a pretty good lynch. However, lynching scum is always better than lynching a townie. I don't like that he claimed so early, but he is also 2 from lynch, and if he really is vanilla townie, why not claim. I believe his claim.
Furthermore, that wagon happened way to fast for it not to have some scum on it. My number one candidate as the scum on that wagon is slaking master. A little lurky then jumps on that wagon. I don't like it.
VOTE slaking_masterWell, Romanus is a professional shit stirrer

He hasn't contributed anything really, only a vote (most likely random) on me, two fos's, one for a joke reason, one for an apparently serious reason, but he hasn't really done anything other than that. Also, he hasn't explained any reasons for putting his vote for me, or why he hasn't taken it off yet.
While I'm at itFOS: Slaking_Masterjust like Sailor Jerry, he hasn't contributed anything.-

Ok I am here and have been reading the thread. I still am not capable of finding scum tells well (especially on Day 1), so I tend to sit back a bit. I will read the thread again and post in a few hours.Due to my busy schedule, I have QUIT MAFIASCUM. Sorry for any inconveniances caused by this.-

Are you guys on crack?
How does "You guys are about to lynch the cop" grab you as a response?
We're only just about out of the random voting stage, ladies. If you wanted some profound analysis - you should have asked Sigmund Freud. If you wanted someone publicity-hungry, you should have asked Victoria Beckham.
Instead, you had me, who had no particular insight into the game, and preferred not to draw attention to himself Day 1.M4yhem - "IH loves donking his splourney in public places. He likes it most when little old ladies and school children are nearby, because then he also show off his crot."
