Probably, if I didn't vote him.

I think more of it came from the night 1 dream that gave us KoC-scum, and I don't think the first dream would be chock full of scum, so I mostly discounted the other players listed. And I think you were pushing him at some point, and since I'm suspicious of you, I was less suspicious of him.

According to Quil's opening post, all players have the Sleep ability. Anyone not using another ability has a chance to dream.

So, scum can dream, but if they do, then they would have to be not killing or using another ability.

She is much more engaged in searching for scum as town. Whereas here she has been playing very under the radar, following the crowd, jumping on easy things.

I don't understand the bolded part considering KoC's push to lynch N was very similar to his push on PM.

Without double checking, I've played once with you-town and I think once with you-scum. In general, I remember finding your playstyle townish, but didn't get that immediate feeling this game. I guess I can go back and look at shared games.

Actually agree with this on Rachmarie. At first I thought it was replacement type jitters, but she only came out yesterday when accused.

Someone asked why selected-Staeg-quotes are scummy. Because, narratively speaking, weak early bussing of Jackal (KoC-slot) disappeared without a word and eventually came to straight steeping of KoC onto the PM lynch. And I seem to be in the minority in not liking Staeg's hop onto KoC from Rach at the end of day 2.

But I think I'm convinced that KoC was unlikely to try pushing a second easy lynch on nothing, to be honest. And other stuff I'm not sure about.

I'd like to request that anyone with a town PM starts trying to look a bit more town please and thank you.

I'm TOOOOOWWWWWWNNNN.

4nx, that was the whole point though. KoC goes after PM, and gets caught out for it, and then does the exact same thing with N-town?

PV, you don't have to check back on the games (although if it gives you a townread on me then go right ahead!), but do you remember anything from the game with me-scum?

see but more or less your analysis this game has been consistently shallow and lacks concrete examples for most of your suspicions. and this is just another instance of it.

UNVOTE:
VOTE: RachMarie

I can get onboard this wagon. Early in the game she kind of gives a bit of coaching to KoC kind of like I did on accident in Open 437. When you publicly have a townread on your scumbuddy then it is easy to think people will see it as town but in reality town shouldn't be trying to help people look nonscummy. THey should be pressuring them for slipping up.

Later she declares intent to hammer. The does it again. Then she hammers. She never once explains why Konowa, a townie by the way, is suspicious. In order to not look bad she does the intent to hammer before just laying it out though.

In post 1314, Jarvis wrote:And I seem to be in the minority in not liking Staeg's hop onto KoC from Rach at the end of day 2.

To clarify on why Staeg's vote hopping makes no sense as a bus...

At the top of page 38 on Day 2, this was the vote count:

RachMarie (6) - N, PeregrineV, Staeg, Gammagooey, Mehdi2277, Bitmap
Konowa (3) - DeasVail, Jarvis, 4nxi3ty
Bitmap (2) - Seastormjt, petapan
N (2) - Knight of Cydonia, xRECKONERx
Knight of Cydonia (1) - Shiidaji
Jarvis (1) - Konowa

Not Voting (3) - Blastoide, RachMarie, Equinox

With 18 alive, it's 10 to lynch.

At this point, there's momentum going on the RachMarie wagon; some pointed out AGar's lackluster play, and RachMarie was either lurking or nowhere to be found, don't remember which. With a lot of pressure on RachMarie and very little traction on Konowa or any of the other wagons, RachMarie was a plausible lynch.

Staeg hops off RachMarie and onto Knight of Cydonia in post 931. For reference, RachMarie showed up with a response to DeasVail about her lurking meta in post 926, but DeasVail didn't defend RachMarie until post 942; in addition, Knight of Cydonia didn't give a reason to be bussed until post 943, with the last post he made in the game prior to that post being post 808.

Basically, Staeg had no reason whatsoever to jump onto Knight of Cydonia when he did, and there was only 4 days remaining on the deadline clock when he'd switched. Considering what was going on in the thread at the time, the timing is way off for a bus.

There was no reason to jump off RachMarie.

Bussing/distancing is a calculated move with a specific endpoint. Like, go back to page 37 and look at the context:

Staeg votes RachMarie for "basically not existing." 3 other people pile on: Gammagooey, Mehdi2277, Bitmap. RachMarie comes back. Staeg comes off and onto Knight of Cydonia.

Makes more sense to me that he got nervous about all the people jumping on than "Hnngh, I wanna be seen off-wagon" / "I wanna be seen voting my scum buddy at some point or other" because the hops seemed, well, natural. Also, voting Knight of Cydonia at the time that he did drew attention to the existence of this funny dude who everyone else likely forgot because he never posted when he was needed.
