Hey playerlist: what would everybody think about using TNT for the Spleef Arena in the future? (e.g after the current tournament)

If you'll remember, TNT only takes one hit to destroy and is harmless as long as nobody's carrying Fire/Lava/Redstone around with them while Spleefing (which I would think would be against the rules anyway). It would be much quicker and would require tools to play this way. I'll be figuring out how much it would take to fill the arena + have some extra, but if anybody else likes this idea lemme know.

Anybody who doesn't...politely say why? I dunno.

Also I thought Hiraki vs. Pizza already went down. Lemme know when it's happening so I can hop on server and watch for a few minutes.

P.S. If the TNT

is

ever activated, it would start to fall to Bedrock as it becomes effected by gravity (when it turns into an entity, rather than a Block). I think it might even explode mid-air, but if it doesn't, repairing the Bedrock/Cobble death floor is a small price to pay if somebody does actually try to grief, no?

No, but seriously, even though the logic of "well it'll just blow up down below" applies, it's easy to go out, destroy it all, gather it up, build a bomb and blow shit up. I dunno, if people are for it I'm okay with it.

Yeah, it's really not acceptable to punch a hole in the side on someone else's house and attach it to your own. I think he may have built more on top, too. I'm not sure how our backup system works but I'm pretty sure it's managed only through the control panel and doesn't work on a block-by-block basis. I'll leave this to Claus for now, unless Xalxe knows more about the situation.

Eep. Backup means resetting everything to a previous time? If so, I'd lose my gauntlet.

Yeah, as far as I know the backup is for the entire world, and I seriously doubt we'll be reverting to an earlier version because of a (relatively) small-scale incident. However some backup systems allow selective reversion, leaving the rest of the world unchanged.

plugisn allow that, our backup is a file copy and paste.
