Well, mith was the mod for the game I referenced.

If you're going to accept MoS's praise that it's a "good theory" because it was used at MeMeMeet, it doesn't make much sense to reject the possibility it's not a town role...because that's also a way it was used at MeMeMeet (if I'm understanding the role correctly).

Maybe you just need to explain your interpretation of the role role better. This is the first I've heard of "jester." I mean, why should it be vigged rather than lynched?

Above is reply to Pooky's
Pooky wrote:Scum and suicidal? well that type of role should be vigged not lynched, and I don't need to tell you how stupid a role would be that the town needs to lynch to win and also WANTS to be lynched.

I can't see mith putting something like that in the game.

I think that lyncher didn't actually need to be lynched for the town to win, all we had to do was lynch the mafia in order to win.

That's at least how I think lynchers in games with mafia work. I don't really consider that type of lyncher to be "scum"(I think of scum as baddy who we need to die in order to win)

OK -- but, according to the set-up as listed by mith (+1 suicidal among all roles), it was simple randomness that made the card land on a non-mafia role.

btw @Dirge, glad to see all of da "family" is now at my throat. hehe

I don't find it surprising that MeMe and dirge are now back on me after their failed attempt to wagon me yesterday or after they've failed to drum up support for Thesp's lynch.

You're voting me for "Defending Thesp"?(I'd be real satsified with a vig hit on Thesp) Why don't you explain what's flawed about what i've explained about my thoughts on his role instead of blindly attack me?(use a little more logic than you've used in the last coupla posts you made attacking Thesp please)

Oh wait, now I remember, you're trying to herd the town into quick deadline lynching me before any logic can actually be presented!

I've made it very clear why I don't think Thesp is just a normal scumbag, and you really haven't made much of a case why he would be one.

I urge everyone to ask for a deadline extension -- the decision doesn't have to be made in a couple of days if we just ASK.

Pooky, I get what you're saying -- but your thought about Thesp wanting to get lynched is just that: a thought.
My
thought is that Thesp is behaving scummily and he's admitted that he was putting on an act to keep his wife from figuring him out. Why, I ask you, would a pro-town player mind being nailed as a pro-town player? If he's a power role (as claimed) or scum, why wouldn't he WANT to look like a vanilla townie? It stands to reason that if his wife knows his tell, so does
he
.

And claiming to be an investigator seems at odds with wanting to be
lynched.
That's a good way to 1) make the town scared of lynching you and 2) being targeted by scum before you
can
get lynched.

He's claimed investigator who's had a headstart(which is information that isn't available to the rest of the town and thus I can't see as possibly being available to the scum)

If there is a single actual protown investigator who knows that there is NOT a headstart he gets pretty much pointed out and quickly lynched.(I think he WANTED someone to come out and nail him in that manner)

Heck I don't even think there was a time where we could've sent in Night 0 choices(unless we can do that sort of stuff during the pregame)

My point is that in the space of 1 day Thesp has managed to drop a RIDICULOUS amount of very big scumtells. If anything it looks to me like that he WANTS to get lynched because I've played with him before and I can't see this being his normal behaviour in any role but a suicidal one.

I'd absolutely love to see him get vigged, I very much suspect that we'd be playing into his hands somehow if we just lynched him.

Seems to me like Pooky's got a decent plan there.

Umm, because if he gets lynched he wins...jester = suicidal

However, I'm skeptical to believe that it was randomly assigned, although I admit it's possible.

If she's scum and can tell whether or not he's a power role (through seeing his vanilla townie tell), that would give her information that he doesn't want her to have. At least that's the way I understand his reasoning. I'm not sure it quite makes sense, though.

As far as the vigging goes, I think that's a decent plan. However, would it be wise for Thesp to reveal his result from last night first? People keep attacking him and trying to get him lynched when they haven't even bothered to ask for his result so it can be checked. Obviously, there is the risk of revealing too much information to the scum, so perhaps it's a judgement Thesp should make. Anyway, I thought that was something we should discuss before we proceed any further with this vigging plan.

I would like to come out
against
the vigging plan.

I don't have a result from last night, I will for tomorrow, though.

How about this...as soon as you PM mith asking for an extension, post a notice to that effect in here.

That way, we'll know if we're getting more time and who to blame if we DON'T.

I am going to ask for extension after I p-p-p-post.

Thesp, why don't you have info from last night?

And pooky, I think, as others have pointed out, your defense of Thesp indicates something to me, you might have known he was a good guy, because yer scum, buddyup, or he could've been your scumbuddy. But now you say you'd be happy with a vig-hit? Rapid throwing under the bus!

I pm'd mith for extension.

I'll read this through again today, as everyone seemed to be like water on duck's back - slipping away all the time.

One exception though: MoS urging people to vouch for Atticusa dn not trying to figure him out himself.

I'm glad you're contributing to the game Olio, what does voting fletcher to get a lynch in on time have to do with following Thesp?

IF it wasn't more clear from my post about Night 0, I have a noninvestigative nightchoice that's quite confirmable.

Olio: MeMe, Dirge, Atticus, and Fletcher are all in the same family IRL. I was hoping that they would have more experience playing with him than I, and could tell if this playstyle was normal for him or not, since I have no experience playing with him. What's so wrong about that? And for the record, i didn't urge someone to vouch for him. I merely asked if they

It was more of the, blindly following Thesp and voting Yosarian based solely on Thesp's misguided word. Which seemed like following Thesp and saying
