I've been wanting to run a successful Sci-fi Time Travelling game for ages now. I have the thematic idea all mapped out, but I'm looking at ways to put it all together. I'm fairly sure time travelling games have been run before, though - so does anyone have any recommended reading (previous games) to look over before I embark fully on my journey?
I'm curious, would anyone want to see a Casshern Sins Mafia game? I've been watching it on Toonami and have really been enjoying it, so I have been thinking of running a game like this on here. It would probably be a nine-player set-up, so it's something quick to run. Not to mention it fits along the depressing nature of my Guns and Ropes: Midland Mini-Normal game.

I was in a reservoir dogs mini game I believe, but that was a long time ago.
Also...I'll officially be qualified to run it after my sigged game finishes, but how do I request permission to pick up a concept previously abandoned after a Mod flaked?
For the specific situation, note that I am referring to Zajnet's Golden Sun Mafia - abandoned before Role PM's were even sent out during confirmation.
It will take quite awhile to make my way up through the Coney Island queue, but at this point I believe there'd still be enough interest and if Zajnet's out there I'd love to hear what he had in mind for the Setup.
Any other takers who'd be interested in about (oh, say) 3-4 months?

You don't need to request permission.
Plus, if you guys want to make a point, skip the walls, because everyone else in the game does as well. - Magister Ludi
^Oh I found it. The set-up's pretty similar to what I had in mind. Herbivore as miller, T-Rex as SK... I might just have to give the game a different spin when I try it out some time in the future.
Yeah, I was planning on doing each season with a modding team - but most of them seem to have flaked and I'm not passionate enough except for a unique mechanic idea I have that needs to be fleshed out a lot more.
Do what you want. I WAS planning on doing each season, but I don't want to hold you back. Alternatively, you could collaborate with me. I won't be heart broken if you don't - but fyi, I am particularly attached to Season 2.
, where every player gets a role they've never received before (with no sneaky loopholes or terms and conditions) -- if you'd be interested playing, please PM me!

Each day Town votes someone to get stabbed/lynched and if s/he's a SK or a special role, they survive the hit (counts as one stab, see further) but if a normal Townie, s/he will die.
As there will possibly be multiple deaths at night, we'll limit the deaths by making most or possibly all players be able to survive one stabbing at night.
So if a player gets targetted by one SK, s/he won't die, but if 2 or more target him/her, s/he will die.
Also, if s/he survives one stab at Night, when he gets stabbed once the next night, s/he will die.
But make some limited (maybe 2 players) players be able to kill with one shot.
Throw in some JK or Doctors, sounds like complicated as hell of a game.
