also: how important is building for PvE versus building for PvP?
in WoW it was pretty much you were one or the other, but in GW2, since you autoscale in PvP, it seems like getting a gearset/weaponset/spec that fits PvP the best is the way to go (esp since there's no raid type hardcore PvE content for endgame)
like I REALLY love playing my greatsword Mesmer right now but it's super glass cannon and I know that shit won't fly in PvPgreen shirt thursdays-

You build for PvE when you're doing PvP.
When you go to the Mists, you get a new set of perfect PvP weaponry and srmor which you can customize even further; this set of items returns to tou when you enter the Mists again.sa vrede?-

My computer is barely able to run LoL on the lowest difficulty, judging from the screenshots I'm seeing I suspect my computer would catch on fire just from downloading the installer let alone actually starting it up.Routine day with a dirt cheap brush
Then a week goes by and it goes untouched
Then two, then three, then a month
Then the rest of your life, you beat yourself up-

I've been running Scepter/Focus and either Axe or Dagger with a Warhorn.

So how does one gain levels? I'm level 17, and I've already done all the areas and quests up to that point, and the next area is level 20, and the mobs there wreck me. So either I'm missing some aspect of leveling up, or I need help, or something. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.-

Aside from the obvious heart-doing thing:
1) Crafting (and gathering for that matter)
2) Exploring
3) Extra dynamic event doing
If all that fails, go to another 15-25 zone.sa vrede?-

I'm having a hard time picking a crafting profession. I'm told cooks can make dyes, so maybe that, but not sure what would mesh well with it
Also, you guys need to hit me up with a guild inviteAlyG: If he's not a joke account then what is he? He starts bandwagons on himself and insults other people.-

Go into Kessex Hills. Hover over the "heart" quests and try to do the quests that are 3 or less levels than you. Repeat events that happen in areas around your level if you have to.
Make sure you map completed queensdale and divinity's reach if you want that extra EXP. Plus you get some gold and a cool item.-

Already map completed Divinity's Reach and Queensdale; working on Kessix Hills, but some of the heart quests require killing mobs that are 3-4 levels above me.One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. You could go to another 1-15 zone, 100% Lion's Arch and/or the other home cities, or craft and gather.jdodge1019: hasjghsalghsakljghs is from vermont

A 5870 might give you 25-30 FPS with no antialiasing, less in big WvW fights or group events. If you want smooth models and decent fps, you'll def need to upgrade. The game would be very playable at low low settings unless there's a driver incompatibility issue (ATI drivers seem hit or miss with GW2).
There's a good tom's hardware article benchmarking different graphics cards and recent drivers with Guild Wars 2.
There's also a VERY new beta driver (like <12 hours old) for some Nividia cards that really smooths out rendering and adds support for ambient occlusion (affects the way light/shadows are rendered around objects - I'm getting rings and and particles on a 660ti). Driver is really, really new so anyone with a supported card should test it out and help nvidia update for Guild Wars 2 support.

If you talk to me I can recommend you cards in a budget tier. At very least, check around and see if the card you're getting has good driver compatibility with GW2 specifically. Some drivers shit the bed.Fate is absurdly beautiful. 運命に弄ばれる
