I spent like five hours the other night just absorbing as much GW2 info as I possibly could. So far, I think the Warrior looks like the most fun, though Necromancer also seems interesting. I don't like the playstyle of Thief or Ranger... and Engineer just looks underwhelming.

I had the same reaction, basically. I wanted to like engie going in, since it's my favorite class in TF2, and turrets and what not, but things like Warrior, Thief, and Elementalist just look to be a lot more fun.

Engineering was a bit meh. In pvp it was the highest level of Ziggs HWHHWHEHEAHAHHAH CATCH ME IF YOU CAN BOMBS BOMBS BOMBS but in PvE it was pretty faceroll buttons without much thought or care

Is there any inherit advantage of taking certain class/race combos like in WoW? Or are there even racial bonuses?

I'm also curious for what the "endgame" of GW2 is going to look like. That seems to be the biggest problem IMO with MMOs. They can provide you a solid experience but how do they keep the experience going?

You get special non-weapon skills. Not sure if there's stat bonuses.
