No, Spork's not the person I need to get more points then. I won't say who, though; no sense letting the scum know if I might get the possible one-shot cop investigation tonight, later in the game, or never.

33 hours left. WE NEED TO LYNCH SOMEONE WHO IS NOT SPORK, AND WE NEED TO DO IT NOW.

And why hasn't a third of the town already sent in PM's requesting an extension? That's only 7 people, and more people then that have posted since the mod told us we need to do it. Do you people WANT a no-lynch or something? Because that's where we seem to be headed, if we don't vote fast and get an extension.

Thesp wrote: I have rolebased information that says this cannot be the case. I think Yosarian2 is lying to protect his scum buddy.
By the way, something else just occured to me; I realize this is a bit WIFOM, but Thesp, if Spork was my scum buddy, do you really think I'd go this far out on a limb to save him? To save SPORK? Seriously?

If I was scum with Spork, I'd throw him under the bus day 1, no question.

Regarding spork:

1) as Fletch said, spork couldn't make that up
2) no way would Yo link himself to a lost cause if he believed spork to be scum (though it's possible that Yosarian is scum trying to ride the claim coattails of someone he believes is innocent)
3) Thesp, though, is so adamant and un-Thesp-like. Either he truly believes spork is scum (and now he's thrown "rolebased information" into his argument) or he really is a lyncher.

To me this says that we have 1 - 2 liars here. Or a serious misunderstanding. If it's liars then we've narrowed it down to one of these 3.
Unvote: Pooky

Unvote, Vote: Fletcher
He's just been my second choice. And yes Fletcher, I tried to over-explain my vote on spork, because I feel foolish if it's just because I think he is scum. So that was a simple explanation.

Sorry, my brain short-circuited my thinking. Actually, my role confirms that
Yosarian2
was lying. Since he lied to protect spork76, and since I'd linked them because of this post:
Yosarian2 wrote:Well, we've only got 2 days till deadline; we can get an extra 3 days if 1/3 of the town sends pms to the mod asking for an extension, but there dosn't seem to be enough people around for that at the moment anyway. I think Spork need to claim now, or he's probably going to die.
It looked like mafia communication to a partner. When Yosarian2 claimed he had the same role, I knew that wasn't the case, so I presumed spork's isn't that either.
Unvote: spork76, Vote: Yosarian2.
I am a role investigator, and I can investigate if someone has an activated ability, but I can only do it every other night, and it doesn't give me alignments. Last night, I investigated Yosarian2, and he doesn't have an activated ability. If he has the same role as spork76, he would have an activated ability. Ergo, he's lying. I think their in cahoots. In retrospect, Yosarian2 is the better lynch because we have proof of him lying, and Yosarian2 could theoretically be simply trying to piggyback on another claim.

Thesp, it's very simple. In order to win, the town has to win, and I have to have more points then person X. If during one night I have less points then that person, I get a one-shot investigative ability.

If you are somehow telling the truth, you'd better double-check with the mod and check to see if that would count as an "activated ability". I didn't use any ability last night, of course.

What really pisses me off is that if I get lynched for this crap, I'm probably screwed even if the town wins, because I won't get any more points.

By the way, if I'm making this whole role up, then why was the dead NPC called a "point whore"? It's pretty clear that either player has that role name or else they have it and have the same role I've claimed, or they would have counterclaimed "point whore" by now.

Thesp, how about this. They said that if they have less points than a certain person, they may investigate. Obviouskly, on Night 1, everyone would have the same points. So his role would not be activated and he could not use it!

And I just noticed that Yoko and Yosarian pointed this out. Thesp, why do you think that your ability is to investigate
activated
roles? Tothrow us off guard, to break lies. But it's pretty clear that they're suposed investigation isn't available yet.

I'm going away for the next day and a half or so, so this might be the last chance for me to say something before a lynch.

Thesp, all I can say is that, if you are telling the truth, you'd better clarify things with the mod, and you'd better do so now. Normaly, I wouldn't think this could be a gambit on your part on day 1 like this, but I've got to say the timing of your claim, coming right before a deadline like this, waiting until after the first deadline is past and until it looks like fletcher was about to get lynched, makes me wonder. Still, I think a misunderstaning on your part is more likely, and if so, you'd better clear it up fast, we don't hav emuch time here.

Thesp:

--Why were you so adamant that spork be lynched? You claim doesn't seem to support the kind of tenacity you were displaying.
--As others have pointed out, your translation of "activated ability" is questionable.
--I mentioned the possibility that Yosarian was simply copying spork's claim and he pointed out that he gave a name when, at that time, spork had not. So that theory was busted just three posts above your last. How did you miss it?

I'd like Thesp to explain himself. In the meantime, however, I'll stick with my Pooky vote.

Q1: As for the first, it was a defense against kristocker. She knows my vanilla townie tell, so I had to display that sort of activity so she wouldn't be able to get a read on me (or got a false read).
Q2: I don't know what else to say here.
Q3: I'd already tied Yosarian2 and spork together in my mind.

It's an easy enough prooflynch, isn't it? We'll lynch Yosarian2, find out he's lying, and go from there, right? I'm failing to see the downside.
