Fuldu wrote:Huh? I don't understand BMQ's argument against Yosarian and I
really
don't understand bluemonick's jump to that bandwagon. It seems like BMQ is suggesting that Yosarian's playstyle is different from past games, which I don't see, but if he'd care to elaborate a bit more, I might. But bluemonick is new enough that that can't be what he's saying. And the comment about "less of an investigator" and "more like 'laying back'" is, frankly, nonsense. Yosarian seems to me to be pushing as hard at the issues he finds important in this game as he usually does. I happen not to find the particular issue he's chosen to be especially noteworthy, but I can see the logic behind it. Coupled with the fact that he got himself blowed up, which seems likely to be a scum mechanism, I think this looks like a scummy pair of votes.
I agree with Fuldu.
vote: bluemonick

I disagree with the lordy bandwagon. What has he done to seem scummy? There was some confusion over his so-called claim, but I read that as other people misinterpretating what he originally said.

I feel sleazy for trying to shake things up in that way. Using weak arguments to set up bad traps isn't what I like to do, and I realize that it could come back to bite me in the ass, but it's only Day 2 and things were already going stale.

Again, that's not the reason people are on the Lordy bandwagon.

Interesting to see you defend him with that kind of crap logic, though.
Haven't you noticed I often have craplogic at the start of games? :)

Lordy was pressured for a daft comment that made very little sense and looked like a vague role claim. He then got the hair dryer treatement. I'm sure under that attack was Scum pressure. On reflection, it could be scum hiding in an attack on scum. But I don't see the lynch myself. That's all.

On the other revelation, I see no difference in Y2's play. Which still could mean he's scum, of course, but the weak vote with follow-up from bluemonick is interesting.

BMQ's "I'm trapping" looks worthy of future investigation. I'm not 100% happy with it, but could by the explanation with further evidence later. But it does seem like a weak attack has been turned back, and him going "Testing! I was testing you all, look, I found a scum candidate!"

But then again he might well have, so
Vote: BlueMonick
looks a good option right now.

Like to see more from him...

The suspicious things about Lordy was that he first speculated in thread that someone else was a vanillia townie, which is something you should never do as town, then when she voted for him for that he flipped out and OMGUS voted for her back. Both are scum tells.

Anyway, I do think that bluemonick's post was very suspicious, and I'm considering voting him, but I'm not going to join it just yet as it's moving quite fast, I'll wait for him to try and clarify whatever it was he was trying to say in his rather bizzare last post.

I can see the case vs. Bluemonick, but I feel Colonel's swap to that wagon w/o justification just makes a stronger case for him.

Um, pleanty? he's only posted 3 times. The one that looks suspicious was the one where he voted for me, for reasons that don't seem to make much sense.

Anyway, I'm still wanting an answer to my other question. Why do you think the bluemonick bandwagon isn't "going to do much", and if you think so, why are you on it?

I'd say this bandwagon is at least going to make bluemonick explain what he did. Thanks yo, I forgot about that vanilla townie thing. But I'm sticking with bm till he speaks up.

Yeah, fos mc. Terrible, terrible reason to join a bandwagon.

We should still keep focus on bluemonick until he shows back up and at least tries to defend himself.

Masterchief, the key question is this. Do you really think it's a pro-town move to get onto a bandwagon just because you don't want to look like you're protecting someone else?

Well, I think it seems right. I mean, were not going to lynch him(I think) Its just to pressure him. The problem is, he hasn't ben on in a while. We need a prod.

He was just on to make a post that merited this bandwagon in the first place (plus another post shortly before that), Masterchief. Whether he has gone back to lurking/not paying attention is a valid concern, but saying this bandwagon isn't going to go anywhere because he hasn't been on in a while is both factually and logically incorrect. And suggesting a prod is ridiculous, given that bluemonick
was
one of the players just prodded.
It takes a village to raise a lynch mob.
