If 1/3 uses chrome, and that;s the largest use %, does that mean people access MS with safari and IE?

Chrome
36.59%
Firefox
30.86%
Safari
13.12%
Internet Explorer
8.42%
Android Browser
6.24%
Opera
3.12%
The keen observer will notice this is about 1% shy of 100 because I cut out some really obscure browsers.

IE 8 might be a high number. You can't actually upgrade to 9 if you have xp or earlier I think it is.

I imagine many people using IE are doing so from their work.

You can't get past 8 unless you use xp.
@ani, I was about to make a serious post about this until someone rudely interrupted me.
I'm not sure that heavily punishing people for something that they didn't intend to do is the right thing. But removing images and making sure that people do a little kindness of checking out the url they got that image from is fair game. If people don't get the message then 1 week hotlinking bans would be appropriate in my opinion.
after a wank.

Math says that there should be about 414 accounts on this site that use Opera. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Thats as a % of total page loads, not accounts. I said so in the header of the table.
With that said, 10 different browser version of opera have been used, 3 with large numbers of hits. So highly unlikely that there are even just 2 regular users using it.

In post 64 , Zachrulez wrote: But yeah, I don't see why there's a need to threaten punishment for this. If you explain to whoever is doing this stuff what is going on, how they can clean their computer and how to keep from accessing a malware contaminated site again, I don't see why this would be a problem for anyone. I don't think there's a single user on this site that wants to be infected by malware.
I think I speak for everyone when I say 8 times out of ten, the latter will be what happens when someone unknowingly puts a bad-hotlink. Any other implications on your part is at best overreaction and at worst paranoia.

chamber,
Is it possible to change the [img] tag behavior so that when images are hotlinked, the file is downloaded, stored in a directory on the server and the URL is rewritten? That (IMHO) is the best solution to this problem.

I don't think it's a joke. That was my understanding as well. Or at least that was the concern that chamber had with allowing images to be hosted on site.
