I agree with most of Pere's town reads. I agree more with the following (but am willing to trust him on the rest):

1. Alchemist (general tone of posts suggest legit scumhunting + he went batshit at OS and blue numberings)

5. Duplicity (Pere called it a strong town read way back in QT and what I've seen I've very much liked)
14. MaguaofIllusion (don't buy the wagon against him yesterday + townposting against Katsu - see below)
24. Tammy (am I right in thinking Tammy became somehow confTown yesterday?)
25. Tierce (as above: Tierce is confTown? Otherwise remove her from this list. I don't like her lack of vote)

As for scum reads, I still think ML is scum

I also don't like Katsu's half-assed "counterclaim" comment - it's leaving too many options open. Plus since MoI is a townread, and he says there are essentially extenuating circumstances, it looks highly unlikely it could be a legit cc to me, and I hate the idea he'd be willing to lie about his role to get MoI lynched. In Möbius strip logic it also strengthens my townread on MoI; I don't think MoI would complicate a fakeclaim if Katsu's cc'ing. I'd be willing to throw a vote down over there.

The other scumread that I'd talk about is LLD. I didn't like her vendetta against Oman yesterday. I think I've seen her play like that before as scum (Memento Mafia?) and it's crap to say but it feels like she's using GI relations to obscure her alignment. "Oh no I'd get pissed for this regardless of alignment" style.

This was the last battle. It wasn't even a question; it was just something Sothe

felt

. As he stood overlooking the battle from a hillside, he could clearly see that Daein's army was getting ravaged by the Crimeans and Gallians, but Daein's sheer strength of will stopped them from actually progressing. He wondered how long that would last. If Micaiah's plan didn't work before the enemy army broke their ranks, they were all as good as dead.

Sothe's eyebrows furrowed. The soldiers' strength to fight came largely from their faith in the Silver-Haired Maiden, their savior in a time of extreme hardship and violence. In fact, all of this was because of Micaiah. She was the one who orchestrated this entire campaign, and had pushed herself to her very limits in the process. She loved Daein and her people so much that she was willing to sacrifice herself for them. And if Daein lost this battle, Sothe bitterly reasoned, Micaiah would become less a martyr than a scapegoat. Not a very innocent scapegoat, but this war wasn't her idea to begin with.

The futility of this entire war was imminent. They were fighting the combined might of four countries with... what were the words? The "tattered remnants of a defeated country". All for an unjustifiable cause. And they had Commander Ike fighting on their side. Sothe wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. But, Sothe's decision to stay was already made. He would never, never leave Micaiah's side. Micaiah was Sothe's world, and Sothe was Micaiah's pillar of strength. As long as both of them drew breath, they would live together, no matter how or where. And Micaiah unshakably decided to act as Daein's general. Her charisma was unmatched throughout the country, and if she turned her back on Daein, they would be lost.

Thinking of her, Sothe turned to face Micaiah. She was very terribly exhausted; while she was still standing, her eyes were shut, her head was bowed slightly forward, and her mouth was slightly open. For the leader of the Daein army, this was an ill portent. Sothe started to walk toward her to wake her up, but as he approached her he heard her speaking in a low voice.

"...who... who's calling? I'm here..."

Sothe's eyes opened in alarm as he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Come on, Micaiah, wake up."

Micaiah only slightly responded to Sothe's touch as she continued muttering under her breath. "Yes... Yes, I'm..." As she spoke, she turned away from Sothe, and he couldn't hear the rest of it. Sothe started to reach out again, but Micaiah had already started moving with a strange deliberateness. She was walking toward an empty expanse of snow behind her, away from the Daein lines, but she did not seem to be aimlessly wandering. The sight of it struck Sothe as unnerving as he watched her amble away, but after a few minutes, Sothe started running after her before he lost sight of her silver hair against the snow.

The Daein army was now without its general. It was up to those who believed in her to see her plan through, or else this would be the last time Micaiah and Sothe saw the proud nation of Daein as it should be.

So if Katsuki is in any way playing like he does in f2f mafia, I would have to disagree with this. I don't remember the last game I played with him on the forum (might be the last Vi game), but in f2f he definitely doesn't ever counter-claim as scum. He also never outright counter-claimed...mostly heavily implied that he was with a strong vote or a "wow you're so scum" kind of comment. Also, if people thought he was scum D1, and he was a power role, he would semi-soft claim everyone being stupid and being obvious town...

I'm gunna be mad if you use this against me f2f as scum, Katsuki.

Anyway, that's my two cents for now. It gives me pretty strong town vibes from him, and makes me feel even better about my scum read on MoI D1. I'm willing to see where that goes.
