Nominate Twistedspoon for Don Corelone
, for his play in Mob Money. He was an extremely strong scum player in that game. His posts came off as being incredibly natural, and his interactions with his scumbuddy(/ies) was well-placed and barely noticeable. He made all the right nightkills at exactly the right times, and while he caught peoples' radars from time to time, he mostly managed to avoid suspicion. And going into lylo, he was up against two players seen as widely confirmed town by most people...and still won in the end, despite that. Gotta give him credit for that.

Oh, and since they were technically two separate towns...

Nominate the Lawful Good Town in Seacore's Good Versus Evil, Chaos Versus Law for Best Performance: Town
. (They consisted of Foxace, the MaguaofIllusion hydra [members obvious], greenknight, Lord Mhork, PeregrineV, TiphaineDeath, the Lost Butterfly hydra [Faraday/Mina, later just Mina], Feysal, Tammy, and Nachomamma8.)

Trust me, they deserve it. The playerlist in that town is almost entirely made up of high-caliber players, and even those who weren't high-caliber players were playing so awesomely that they might as well have been. Let's recap, shall we?
-In contrast to the Chaotic Good town which was largely selfish and apathetic, mostly only caring about their half and doing halfhearted scumhunting (with one or two exceptions), the Lawful Good town was incredibly interactive, with every member invested and trying their hardest to not only get their own town winning, but BOTH towns a chance at victory, a goal at which they eventually succeeded!
-It was through the direct actions of Lawful Good players that four of the six scum in the game were lynched. Two-thirds of the total scum, netted because of the actions within the Lawful Good town. They absolutely DECIMATED the scumteams, and quite frankly, there weren't enough nightkills to go around for all of them. :P
-Beyond that, the LG power roles had picture-perfect play--they successfully stayed under the radar long enough to do their jobs and cause significant damage to the scumteams, and the two of their PRs who WERE killed weren't killed because they were PRs; they were killed more by luck. Their play was top-notch for a PR, and they helped further the win a lot.

There are probably some other points as well, such as the fact that both LG lynched had only two other LGs on said lynch, with their lynch almost entirely driven by the (apathetic and selfish) Chaotic Good town (and with some help from the LE/CE).

All-in-all, it was an incredibly strong town, whose actions led to the double-town-victory, and that is certainly a feat worthy of nomination in itself. Their victory wasn't just given to them. *coughchaoticgoodtowncough*. They EARNED it, they BLED for it, and in the end, I'm actually surprised that I managed to survive to 4-P mylo against them, because they were that. dang. good, strong players coordinating with others, and trying to make sense of the power roles and how to best use them for mutally assured pwnage. And they did.

That said, though...the CG town wasn't entirely made up of apathetic and/or selfish players. In fact, I'd say there's at least one honorary Lawful Good, in the form of...

Nominate Regfan for Paragon of Mafia Hunters
, same game. The fact that he was the only Chaotic Good player we, the Chaotic Evil scumteam, killed, should REALLY say something about how much of a threat he was. He became invested into the game and immediately went into "destroy all the scum" mode, coordinating effectively with the town. His reads for the most part were deadly accurate, and he was on the right track. More than that, he turned a slot which was mislynch fodder on most people's suspect lists into one of the most obv-town slots in the game, making him easily the Chaotic Good MVP of that game. Words cannot really convey the respect I hold for him. Just read the freakin' awesome game. :P

Just read the freakin' awesome game.
Actually, thinking about it, do you think the game's worthy of Most Enjoyable Game?

I don't really know about the LE/CG town, but I know for a fact that I had a LOT of fun as CE, and I imagine most of the LG share my view. In addition to it being an all-around awesome game, it was incredibly fun as well.

Ah, screw it.

Nominate Good Versus Evil, Chaos Versus Law for Most Enjoyable Game
, due to the above.

But let's not forget the moderator.

Nominate Seacore for Smooth Operator
. The game was
plagued
by replacements, and at one time Seacore had half the total scum needing replacement. He kept it calm and worked through it, filling the slots as quickly as he could and trying to get the game running as smoothly as possible.

Also Nominate Seacore for Best Mechanic/Mutation/Setup
. (I know, two different awards, but I'm not sure which better fits, so, uh, whichever one seems more appropriate of the two, I guess.) The idea of two towns in the same game was incredibly innovative, and Seacore managed to successfully blend two minis into a large, effectively, and had an excellent balance formed between both towns and both scum overall. It was a brilliant idea, and it was perfectly executed.

Regfan's reads were kind of average in that game. He may deserve the nom on the whole - he's a strong town player but I don't think that game shows off his strengths to the fullest. He was wrong on BB/Cooldog off the top of my head.

I'd like to be the first to
Nominate
Petapan
for
Most Cunning Manipulation
, for his first scum win ever in

https://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=21855 NY152 Ythan's Nightless game.

The set up was 8 townies, 4 red goons, 4 blue goons, nightless, and no day talk. Petapan lead the lynches on the entire red team, lead a bus on one of his own, and was not suspected by anyone that was alive, even to the end.

Nominate Cogito Ergo Sum for Paragon!

Hey, look links. Throw in scummies winvitational which was this year and which he also had good reads in and I think he's got a pretty impressive body of work as town thus far, this year. Accuracy is usually good and true sheer willpower he generally gets his man lynched. Yarr? Edit: he was also one of the better townies in AFFC Mafia.

Let's have some competition:

Second Cogito Ergo Sum for Paragon of Mafia Hunters.
He's always been a good player, but recently he's become much more effective and protown in his town games. He's also had a streak of being dead-on with most of his reads in almost every game.

Nominate Nuwen for Paragon of Mafia Hunters.
Mostly on the strength of her Team Mafia reads (since I'd never seen her play before), particularly Mafia in the Backroom, where she had an almost supernatural ability to latch onto the scumteam with complete confidence in herself.

Second
Nuwen
for
Paragon
. She quite effectively latched onto LLD immediately into Day 1, never let go, and quite accurately derived Spyrex and Chesskid Day 1 from their play regarding LLD.

Nominate jasonT1981
for
Most Cunning Manipulation
for his play in Team Mafia 2012 – Closed Normal. He established himself as an almost universal Town read Day 1 with Dayplay and never looked back. He never drew any significant suspicion and at endgame was the one Town read everyone had in their back pocket when they were trying to find the last two scum. Had Captain Leela been lynched a 5-player LYLO odds he was lynched were pretty much zero as scum had every logical reason to take out the claimed Town Powerrole (Tracker) over the universal Town read. A fantastic performance.

Pretty much Geriatric game restricted at this point ... unless there are players I REALLY want to play with.
