Hey guys, I recently learned that in the last 100 times during a Large Normal that a Townie was accused of flailing, nearly 50% of those accusations were made by scum!

And now I have a reason to vote for someone.

BK's post search shows activity both immediately before and after this post was made, and also around noon forum time today he stopped in to post in 2 other games he's in, but not ours. This leads me to believe he's avoiding the thread, so I'm down with a BK vote. I also noticed Psyche has been consistently active on the site while shirking doing his reread for us, but it's mostly in mishmash games and random bs, not game activity, so it seems less scum-lurking and more Psyche being Psyche.

Matias, why just BK? There's got to be more than one scum left, so why only one scumspect?

BK201 annoyed me earlier, on a re-read i felt like i could see a small bit of reasoning behind what he was doing but there's a lot of smug self-assured nonsense

I liked psyche's effortpost in #1274 but since then I feel like he's back to being super-whitenoise but not as scummy as BK

uberninja was a townread off replacing vifam, kind of annoyed by tone in recent posts but still makes good points like BK201's voting and pine being a turd. don't like the push on nora though.

CF Riot had a scummy predecessor but is generally middle of the road with his posts to me now - nothing stands out one way or the other. could be scum could be town let me jam a fence post up my butt

the case on nora doesn't make sense to me, her posts generally show good reasoning and she didn't have a bad reaction at all

kairyuu was an anime avatar turd man, made a huge push on a guy that was fairly town and defended mogri who was playing like crap and mentally checked out of the game without really being able to justify it in a way that made sense. wrote some really garbage walls. haven't liked much from either player in this slot

It's not so much a change of heart. I still have suspicions about the people on your wagon, which is what was keeping me wary of voting you. I also felt your play immediately after replacing in seemed fairly protown. Then as the game went on you just got kind of mehful and lazy, which lost you some townpoints in my eyes but given this game where (as of this post) 7 of the living players have fewer posts than Ythan who's only doing votecounts and prods, it didn't really put you in the spotlight of scumminess. I had to compare the lurkiness of you (Psyche) next to NoSpec, BK, Hiraki, Kairyuu, Matias and Pine, so you can see how you weren't an immediate standout.

Now more recently, we have the fact that the thread hit some weird doldrums. Inte was and is still a good vote, but I was alone on his wagon and he posted V/LA (Thursday if I remember right) so I start doing rereads, ISO's, and checking people's activity. As I've stated probably too often I have a town read of Matias so I answer his call for BK votes, with the reasoning from 1470.

Then with the following few posts the votecount hits 3/3 between BK and Psyche, and what does Psyche do? Makes up the most contrived bullcrap reason to vote someone I have ever seen based on one post he made way back on day 2. Not only that, he doesn't even do a good job of it because he says the tell has the reliability of a coin flip. You can even see the guilt all over his little emoticon face right now. Psyche knows he screwed up. You all know he screwed up. And I know he screwed up. Case closed.

I'm preetty sure most tells have the reliability of a coinflip. That's quite a bit better than random.

But it's certainly not contrived. I believe what I said. I'm not quite sure of the reliability of lynching players for other reasons, but I'll be sure to find out as I continue my research program.

The thing is, I'm probably more justifiably certain that my reasons for voting BK are solid than you are.
