I'm nervous for Bugsy, because I rarely beat him the first time on a regular run. Obviously the scyther is the threat; I have plenty of moves to deal with it (Amrun's ThunderShock, Isa's Peck, Korts's Rock Throw, kdowns's Ember) but I don't want to lose anyone. Any tips?

I switched from leafgreen to heartgold recently. Just beat Whitney.
Chevre: geodude will take bugsy, gut her, skin her, and then fry the remains. I led with geodude (bugsy leads with scyther). Scyther used leer, geodude used rock throw, one-hit KO. I'm not sure exactly what level i was at. Just make sure that you can survive a theoretical u-turn. You have high defense and it's ineffective so it isn't too difficult.
