VOTE: Mini Librarian

I'm good with this wagon. Little bit weary about Mini Librarian being the only one to speak against the chesskid wagon - could be Mime distancing, but seems too obvious.

Hold up a second.

I'm already more than a little irritated that this is turning into lord of the flies and chess apparently was already lynched which is stupid on every level in the universe.

Dont use the bounty of lynches for lol policy lynches. Use them for real policy lynches. We dont need anarchy we need an iron fist which will win the game in the later rounds.

With that my proposal for the forseeable future is simple and direct:

1.) White noise posts? Death. I dont care if its one liners or giant useless quotewalls.
If your post doesn't directly advance the gamestate, don't make it.

2.) Lurkers? Death. Once things balance out if you're below the mod line unquestionably dead. Otherwise I'm all for using a portion of the lynches on active lurkers every cycle.

Force the scum to actually outwit us to win. Not just dodge bullets.

Vote: Mini Librarian

Posts #38 and #39 say it all for me.

Rhinox is town. Hoopla is, Fritz is, Syndrome is...NINJA'd, Spyrex is...

Izak is also scum. Opportunisitic like MiniLib. Should be lynched next.

I want a protown voting block of doom by the end of the day.

I think this is the shadiest first post ever. If I got the first post, I would either say "first" or make a very strong random vote. This screams to me, "hey guis what are we doing, because I'll just mindlessly follow"

In post 6, Hoopla wrote:redFF or petapan seem like better policy lynches if we're going to play that game.

VOTE: redFF

I quoted this pending flip, but now I think it's null. If Hoopla was a Mime, she'd want chesskid3 lynched.

In post 8, theamatuer wrote:I agree. We have 5 lynches today.
at least 3 of them should be towards policy lynches.

I think ANY policy lynches is an outrageous idea.

In post 10, Hoopla wrote:Alright, lets use the first two lynches to policy lynch. I'll switch to chesskid if we get redFF afterwards.

VOTE: chesskid

Ditto what I said above to this.

In post 13, UberNinja wrote:Out of the two, I would much rather lynch redFF based on what I have seen of each of their play so far.

@ theamatuer: *shudder* ... you just made me afraid to vote for anyone. congratulations.

UN's hesitancy is not very town-sounding, even if this is just a joke.

In post 19, Hoopla wrote:
Keep discussion light until the game actually begins. If someone is super confident someone else is scum, maybe we could let them use a lynch and be put to the test.

Keep discussion light?

Even though chesskid3 is antitown I think the quickwagon was shady; we do have five weeks, after all.
As I have already said, I think Rhinox's idea is a good approach to this, even if it's apparently not the most "fun."

Chillax. We're not even policy lynching any more - pretty much all the votes out are with real reasons. No need to throw the arms up in despair.

I'm okay with using an occasional lynch on a lurker when they become obvious.

Since the Mimes know each other, policy lynches are BAD.

"Oh lol lets lynch Chesskid cause he's Chesskid" "Oh lol Chesskid's win condition is to get lynched. Now lets lynch PLAYER LOL"

The way to get rid of 'bad' players is with some night kills. In a 50 player game we got to have some town aligned killers. So whoever that player is needs to take out some policy lynches with night kills. And we can lynch scum....and or lurkers as need be.

Knocking down the playerlist to a managable size is a good bet. Losing the game while we knock down the playerlist, not so much.

Wait, so you don't know why people dislike him, in fact you never had any trouble with him, yet you want to quicklynch him before he gets a chance to post? Sounds pretty opportunistic to me.

This is a fabulous point.

Given IceGuy's posts on this page, I'm wondering if he is a Mime as well, or possibly, scum with information that the Mime role exists.

Just went through ~50 of Hoopla's games and found about 5 where she was scum and it was not stated in the OP that scum have daytalk. In none of the game did she or anyone else ask about it. So I'll assume it's a towntell for now.

If we were to utilize the plan, I think we could also benefit from seeing who lurks when their group is not under scrutiny but then comes out of the woodwork when they are up for lynch.

IceGuy is looking more obvimime with every post. I think we should leave him alone at this point; if he is a mime, and we don't lynch him, Mimes can't win, because anti-town factions have no motivation to kill him. Unless of course, Mimes have a kill themselves that they can use to fix situations like this.

As much as I like the town cred, I should say that if you want to do it right, you need to look into whether I've asked as town before. Otherwise you've just discovered a null tell. I don't really know if I have before.

So, wait - if A mime dies by not lynch do all the mimes lose AND if so are they removed from game?

Ice is a Mime. Johhog is a Mime. Milk is probably a mime (but needs to die regardless).
Rhinox is town. Agar is probably town. Amrun is town. MattP is town. Chevre is town.
Don't like the Hoop/Fritz back and forth but thats gut. TML can die.

Unvote, Vote: The Mini Librarian

Mime threat is dependent on the above. That's gotta be dealt with because you can all but guarantee every real lynch is gonna have at least one BUT A MIMEEEE derailing it later.

Chesskid (10): Captain Corporal,
Agar
,
Johhog
, theamatuer, Hoopla, Izakthegoomba,
Iceguy
, Fritzler, the mini-librarian,
Milk

NORMALLY within the rest I'd say some scum. As it sits since we had almost no one actually in thread thanks for that.

Did that too, for about five games. I'll look through some more town games, though. Otherwise, you're right, it's a null tell.

Izak can go on the short list.

Unfortunately we're probably not going to use this plan, but yeah that was part the idea.

Oh and whoever asked I just c/p'd the OP playerlist to come up with the groups they were already pretty much split into 5 groups of 10. Thats about as impartial as anyone could get.

Mimes probably work how they work in the "paris mafia" open game setup. They don't have a kill there. The group is probably small because the whole faction loses if 1 member dies any way other than a lynch. I wouldn't expect more than 2 or 3 mimes tops, it'd be too hard to win.

When the game gets 5 lynches to one night, then Mimes have a way better chance of being a lynch death than in the normal day/night dynamic. I expect maybe 3 but probably 4 Mimes. If there are a lot of SK/Vigs/scumteams, it's probably 3 Mimes.

So now we have to wonder or not the hasty beginning of the game lead to an unorganized Mime faction which made themselves horrendously obvious, or if we were just unlucky. Some people were hesitant to have chesskid3 as the first policy lynch, but along those lines, I don't see Captain Corporal and AGar as mimes who introduced the idea of chesskid3 lynch and just hoping everybody would latch on.

It is quite likely that at least one mime is on that lynch, but I definitely think there are mimes who haven't posted yet, or were intelligent enough to realize the implications of the flip.
