Friday ended 2-2. Pulled the black legendary demon, but the rest of my black pull was subpar. Ended up using green-red. the one green card that stops blocking if you have less than her power is kind of kick ass.

Today went 3-1. Pulled the aura angel. She came out twice. Also got the black demon guy again, so may be a black standard demon deck. But 8 to cast is just so high.

How did everyone else do?

Overall, I went 3-3 and got 24 out of 48. Got an oversized Avacyn and a die out of our Helvault, so now I have a giant EDH Commander.

Did anyone here have any of the premium ones?

Didn't do TERRIBLE in sealed. Went 3-3 with a RG ramp(?) type deck. Had a few nice combos:
Riot Ringleader (x2) + Hanweir Lancer (x2) + Thatcher Revolt
Nightshade Peddler + Hanweir Lancer
Uncanny Speed (x2)/[Joint Assault (x3)+Soulbonds] + Wild Defiance
Hanweir Lancer + Pathbreaker Wurm

My biggest bomb was a Tyrant of Discord, which I got to play twice: one when I needed to randomly destroy two flying creatures or else I'd lose (and hit a land right away), and the second time when my opponent only had lands.

Lost my first round against UT 1-2, mostly due to his Malignus (he got a Gisela too but I don't think he got to play it). Even though I swung at him for 20 and still lost due to lifegain whites.

Lost the next round 1-2, and another one 0-2 (between being on tilt from earlier and having no real counter to fliers). I was going to sideboard-splash in my Terminus but decided not to. Won the next two (both against blue/x decks) and had a close 2-1 against a R/B deck that revolved around lifegain/loss. That last match was the closest I had the entire day, and left me at 3-3. Not bad for my first sealed?

Didn't place for a prize or anything but it was a very fun day. Everything I had seemed to synergize well and I could have done way worse.

Oh, I also got Demonic Taskmaster and Homicidal Seclusion but didn't have anything else good enough in black to use, and a foil Cathars' Crusade but also didn't have too much in White. As well as a Gisela promo EDH card, as well as UT's which I traded to Gamma for his giant Griselbrand :D

I hated my pulls. Not a single mythic and my rares were shit. The only decent rare pull I got was Divine Deflection, which actually won me a couple of games. I ended up going white/green, because I had so many cheap humans + bomb ass angels that it made sense for me to throw in the Pathbreaker Wurm with Trample Soulbond and the Druid's Familiar with +2/+2 Soulbond. I also had an INSANE amount of removal for a set that supposedly lacks removal, but in the end I only wound up 3-3. I will say the last match I played was bullshit, as I played against some rules stickler who wouldn't let me mulligan because I had drawn my cards already before we decided who was going to go first or something bullshit like that, so I wound up with a 1-mana starting draw and STILL almost beat him.

I'm actually really interested to see what I can do with my UW spirit deck from INN/DKA mixed in with all the new angels.

I would've called a judge. I'm like 90% sure that's completely against the rules.

I feel like I would have called a judge for sure. I don't know what the ruling should be, but I know that one of the things you need to get used to as a newer player is getting comfortable with calling judges and your opponents calling judges. It's not something that is a bad thing, they're people there to make sure that everything happens incorrectly. If you're even a little bit unsure of something you should call a judge.

Yeah. I should have. The guy I was playing against was a dick and it was my last game of the day so my fucks given level was at absolute zero.

Yeah, but theres no better feeling in magic than calling a judge on a dick...Unless the dick happens to be right in which case... womp womp.

I believe if you draw your cards before deciding to play or draw you auto-play. I don't know of any rule about it stopping you from being able to mulligan, though.

I don't know infraction procedures for prereleases, they are so lax. I'd geuss you still get to choose and just get a warning or something.

then I lost right before I could miracle Blessing of Nature and play two Joint Assaults on my 7/7, which would have dealt 15 damage and won me the game
