I give my target cover in my troupe for the night. I'm not sure flavour-wise how that doesn't make any sense.Cyan wrote:I don't see how Valan Luca could be a Doctor, there are loads of better WoT choices for that. Plus, it really makes no sense whatsoever as far as Luca's character goes. I know that you shouldn't put too much stock in flavor to determine game mechanics, but, Luca being a Doctor makes about as much sense as Nynaeve being a Super-Cop.

A doc and a back-up doc, maybe. But 2 active docs at once is very hard to believe. Especially in a game that has plenty of room to have alot of variety of roles, etc. Aside from all of that, he didn't claim back-up doc, just Doc. He also claimed to have protected someone Night 1, so he couldn't possibly be back-up doc anyway.
Honestly, given the abundance of major characters in WoT, it's hard to see Valan Luca being in the game at all, considering how minor his role is. It seems more like a safe claim than anything else, to me.-

I don't really buy the role claim. However, it does seem odd to me that he would choose such an unlikely name, especially given his inexperience with the series. Even if he is experienced with the series, it still doesn't make sense, unless he had reason to suspect there was another active doc and didn't want to risk the names overlapping. But as Cyan pointed out, the chances of that are somewhat slim. From what I've read of Valan Luca, a protector role fits enough to be plausible.
That said, the claim was perhaps a little bit early and he does appear to be casting suspicion on Spamwise.
I'm suspicious, but I'm not comfortable giving a vote at this point.
I will put aFOSon Cyan, though, for staying on the Yos wagon even after Spamwise decided to hold off (before Yos claimed). I didn't buy your reasoning there.-

I'd agree that this claim isn't compleltly convincing. ChanelDbird could very well still be scum. Still, I'm reluctent to lynch a claimed doc without some stronger evidence then what there currently is against him, especally this early in the game.I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie-

I don't see how going to night w/ no lynch is better than lynching someone that seemed scummy enough to get alot of votes, and has a dubious claim at best. The day is going to end very soon, regardless of whether or not CD is lynched. Lynching him seems better than letting him skate for another night.-

The flavour seems more like untargettable then doc to me. I am hesitant as everyone else is, to lynch the claimed doc. I, however, don't believe that there are two complete docs in this game, and my vote will stay here for now. I really don't have time today to review anything, sorry about that.Buy mystery meat.-

Could be scum, but I don't think scum would come out and say that in that manner about a good guy and attract that much attention to themselves at this point in the game. I think it's more likely a mistake. Either way, it's something to sort out later.MrBuddyLee wrote:Yos, someone said they're 100% sure you're scum, and yet you're not voting for them. Well, the flavor does make some sense; Luca did hide Matt and associates in one of the recent books and probably saved his life in the process. I think he did the same for someone else earlier in the books, but it's been a while since I read the earlier books in the series, so my memory's a little fuzzy on that.mystery meat of doom wrote:The flavour seems more like untargettable then doc to me. I don't really have a problem with the flavor of the claim. I'm naturally inclined to doubt any "don't lynch me, I'm a doc!" claims, and again it's not common to see two full docs in one game, but I don't think it would necessarally be unbalanced in a large game.I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie-

As dusk falls there is more peoplecrowding round Channeldelibird than anyone, so they decide to string him up.
"you can't lynch me, I'm Valan luca!" shouts CD
"Uh, yes we can, we're doing it right now, look, this is us, hanging you"
"but ~choke~ I'm valan ~choke~ mordi ~choke~ I hate you al'thor!" CD chokes/splutters
Channeldelibird is dead, a search of his corpse turns up a ruby hilted dagger and a tanished white cloak.
He was padan Fain

Uh... I have a question for ourMod.
Night Two:
But here:Gleeman wrote:Dawn breaks over the town, the townsfolk gather fearfully, expecting to see a massacre to have occured in the night, not so, but a few deaths none the less.
Mr. Flay is found black swollen and obviously dead, a quick and disgusting search turns up a few items that reveal him to be Mesaana, one of the Forsaken.
Yamahako is found dead without a mark on her body, smothered by the power no doubt. Her long braid marks her as Nyneave.
Dead -
Mr Flay - Mesaana
Yamahako - Nyneave
with 22 living, its 12 to lynch
VOTE!
I didn't even notice that TSS was dead/gone (I still had him as being alive in my notes). Could you please change the night-scene to compensate for this? I was rather confused when I saw that 15 were alive and not 16.Gleeman wrote:The silent Speaker - Vanished night 2 - Verin Sedai

*Huggles Gleeman* It's okay.
Anyways, where was I? Let's take a look at the player roster... I wanted to vote for TheManHimself, but I may as well wait for a replacement...
Vote: Lordy.
I am interested in hearing from SpamWise. I also might have to start poking at Tamuz and MMoD, since both of them also seem to have more information than the rest of the town. I think we should have Yos2 tell us how many more members are in his Masonry, so scum cannot fake to be in it when (if) all the members die.
This no-reveal driving me nuts, I hate not knowing what types of roles are dead and gone.
Also, I am still curious as to the "collars". It seems that MBL isstillthe only person who has had this trouble."Logic? I call that flapdoodle."
