do you not get that Soulbond can be applied to any new creature entering the battlefield as well?
so they remove it on their turn; you can immediately play another creature (or even the same one if it's a removal-to-hand) and get the soulbond back
they blow a removal and you are only set back on the deathtouch ONE turngreen shirt thursdays-

Typhoid Rats looks really good. It costs B.
Also, yes, I did misunderstand how soulbond works the first time, but I still say that you're counting on a 1/1 living to make your blocking decisions not suck utter ass.
Could be fairly good in a token deck, I suppose.ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

If it were constructed, I'd totally agree with you, Ice. But we're talking about Limited, where even minor utility (especially with removal potential) can be valuable. I've played Sealed with Pacifism and Brainspoil as my only removal; a creature that basically enchanted another to have Deathtouch is worth a look. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.-

Worth a look, sure. It's definitely not unplayable. But limited bomb, great card for limited? Nah. I'd be fine with having one in my 23, maaayyyyybeeee 2 if I had a lot of tokens.ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

First of all, nobody was arguing that it was a bomb. Shea even said that he didn't say "bomb". So, learn to read, noob.
Secondly, there's no real point deciding in advance what you're willing to take in limited. It's limited. You take what you can get.One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. Depends on what you're building. If you're going for green fat, it's clearly a high pick since it's going to help you live long enough to cast them. If you're not, then it's... really not.
It's a card for a deck that believes it has inevitability.
P.S. Did I just get told that there's no point in deciding what you're willing to take for limited? Why you're right! I'll just grab cards at random and try and make a deck out of them.

But that's what you do for limited. You definitely want to decide how your curve looks and what copies of cards, ESPECIALLY commons you want in your deck. Sure, sometimes you don't rip any and that's that, but you should have a very good grasp of where the commons stand in the pick order, and a good stance on multiple copies.ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

Except you deliberately misinterpreted me. I wasn't saying that you shouldn't be aware of cards in the set, or their general utility and power level in advance- that's what we've been talking about. I was just saying that prior to actually opening the packs and seeing what's there, you can't act on any real pick strategy. Every draft is going to have it's quirks, and sometimes something like Peddler is going to turn out to be awesome. Most of the time, it's middling. But you can't just say "Nah, I'll never take it"- it's not Chimney Imp.
My main concern is that I doubt the current language for Soulbond doesn't seem to accurately represent Wizard's intentions, based on a (shallow) read of the Daily MTG article. Prior to knowing what the final version will actually look like, I have trouble really judging where something like Peddler will fall in the set's power level. It's also entirely possible that, in the full context of the set, just having the Soulbond keyword will make it really good, regardless of what it actually does. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. I didn't say I'd never take it. I said I'd want 1 for most decks, maybe 2 if I had some good token themes going on, and that I wouldn't prioritize it very highly.ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

Rhetorical device. Not that it matters.

With soul bond being able to trigger on the second creature entering the battlefield, you dont even lose the effect playing this turn 2, which increases its versatility. I personally think it is very good, but I highly doubt I take it before 4th. What we need to properly judge the set is knowledge of the formats speed, availability of removal, and overall strength of creatures in general.
I also would love to set up a draft.
As far as your predictions greyIce, you dont want multiple 6 drops, thats typically the whole point of the mana curve, especially when these 6 drops are good but not a crazy bomb.
Thunderous wrath is good, but gets placed as top tier removal, albeit slow. I would say it probably goes in the 2nd-4th pick range with other removal.
Blink is terrible without damage stacking, and unless your whole deck is come into play triggers, the blink thing looks like a wasted card.
A card I really like so far is the 1WW 3/3 Angel that bounces a permanent. Seems very good in limited.
As far as this whole set thing goes, I started relatively late then, around Mirroden (original, not scars). Not actually important though-

Thunderous Wrath is hax because unless you get two copies in your opening hand it doesn't really cost 6.ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

And even if it kills a creature for 1 (which is something you typically want to wait on even if you draw it turns 1-like 6) it still isnt better than a bomb. The problem I see is that assuming it costs 1 is silly for a removal spell, as I often do not like playing where I need to topdeck removal to win.
