If Flay and Karn were in the same scum group, I don't really see him jumping off the Flay wagon and onto the Karn wagon as a scum tell. Based on flavor, I would guess that all darkfriends would most likely be one scum group.

On the other hand, I do agree that this looks bad, based on the fact we now know Karn was a bad guy:

Disbelieves Karn's role-claim, but with the caveat that if it's an actual role he'd unvote. Now I can't say if armlx really had never seen that role before or not. Only that I, like others, have seen it before.
Looks like he was voting for Karn, but setting it up in such a way so he could quickly unvote him afterwards (as soon as someone said "yup, I've seen it before") if it looked like Karn might not get lynched.

I'm still pretty happy with my maritya vote for now, though. I don't like the way she's been either ignoring or misrepresenting every attack against her.

Hey Mariyta, I think you have 10 votes now.

Rather than posting elipsis, you might want to consider doing something more useful like, say, claiming.

I didn't target anyone the first night. I took out Flay last night.

Yeah, it seems fairly unlikely. Didn't Taim send Asha'men to kill Rand at one point? I mean, Taim is still at least pretending to follow Rand's orders, I think, so it could be argued, but yeah, Taim as good guy dosn't make that much sense.

As for the claim that she killed Mr. Flay last night but didn't kill anyone night 1; I could see a vig taking out Mr. Flay last night, sure, but then why were there 3 kills night 1 and only 2 kills night 2, if she killed someone night 2 but not night 1? Would that mean that there were two other kills that were blocked or doc-protected against or something on night 2? It's possible, sure, but it seems unlikely.

It's not a completly implausable claim, but I'm not convinced. I'm not going to remove my vote at this time.

I didn't kill anyone Night 1 because I didn't think it was necessary. I didn't have any information on anyone and my chances of actually hitting someone who was scum were not great enough to kill. After the first night, I figured there was at least one killing group, a vig (maybe 2?), and 2 SKs or another killing group. I was expecting way more kills last night. I don't know why there wasn't.

I don't know the books well enough, so I can't explain why Taim would be or wouldn't be a vig. I was told I used to be a false dragon, but was torn down by the Aes Sidas(?) and now I serve the Dragon reborn (who is Rand, from what I've read on Wiki).

Having just read a bit about Taim on a couple of WoT sites, I'm actually more suspicious of Mariyta as a result of the claim. Not enough to hammer though.

Blah. Vote stands based on the character apparently being evil in the books (just like Karn and Flay) and the claim seems very conveniant. Also see what Yosarian said about the kill numbers.

Axel's stuff:

I have never been really involved in a game with a T/F role. The only game I was in that may have had one was Muppets, but I only skimmed the roles of that game after dying D1 so I'm not 100% sure. This sorta seeing the role was what made me hesitant, but not hesitant enough to hold my vote on such a scummy person.

I also tend to jump on cop investigations. Unfortunately (for me) the only non-ongoing game I can think of where this occurred was Penthouse, where I was scum. I'm a little more hesitant about partial cop investigation (ie. trackers) without more info, but the only game I can think of with this is ongoing....

The abusing of the super powers thing is due to playing Magic (which Axel should know) and the one card from Unhinged (Frankie Peanut I think) that lets you ask questions. The logic on that was broken, so I assumed there was someway to break this role.

The MBL thing is also due to an ongoing game. Same with some of the Marytia reasoning (comparing ongoing games since there really aren't any ended ones I know of).

Edit by Way of Double Posting:

On second glance, there was no role like that in Muppets (it was a PM checker and the role that chose if the vig could kill that added up to cause the confusion I think). I vaguely recall seeing it somewhere, but I also think it was a role like that where you couldn't ask about people's alignement.

Okay Mariyta, after Tamuz's post was clarified to NOT be a Cop inspection (as far as we knew at least), and people were talking like he might have been mind controlled, you unvoted Flay.

What made you decide to kill him later?

I don't really buy mariyta's claim. From my research on wikipedia Taim was mostly an antagonistic character, and the vig claim can just easily be scum with killing ability. And your kill of Mr. Flay can just easily be your scum group trying to oust someone from the other scum group.
The end justifies the means.

Taim as vig does not jive well with the books at all. Taim as serial killer, however, does.

I chose Flay because I figured it'd be better safe than sorry, and I didn't see a better play.

@MM (and pretty much everyone): I realize vig seems unbelievable. I realized that when I read the piece on Wiki about him. It seemed more like an SK role or leader of a scum group, but I got vig. I don't quite understand why.

umm, i know its a smudge late, but i'd like to take this chance to defend Mariyta, from what i know, she's be following orders correct? from the true dragon? and isn't that a plus? even if she is supposed to be bad? maybe she doesnt have choice of targets?
