Here's me checking in. I'm just finishing up finals, so I'll be more active next week. I've been checking the thread, though - lot of interesting activity to consider.

See, Tamuz could be one of four things the way I see it. A mafia (fellow or not) selling you out for a gambit, a cop, a watcher who saw you go to a dead player, or just a townie who thinks you're scum.

The last one is the least likely. The other three are more likely, though with his conviction it seems more like he's the cop or a mafia pulling a gambit. The FOS was just for that. The small chance he could be mafia pulling a gambit (and because last time I saw this restriction they were mafia).

It is indeed very tough
For me to say enough
while this writing is very rough

I am no cop
but does that mean we should stop?
when flay's head we will bop

My role I shall not give
for I do indeed wish to live
so we can, the scum sieve

As for my manner of talk
I wish tommorow I could balk
To say all wanted would rock

Karn may very well too be scum
If you believe so, I support kicking his bum
make sure the man does not have enough rum

And note too I am no gleeman
But by now if one claims via a bandvan
the chance of scum is not a scam.

GAHASDFLASDFKH. I swear you are one the scummiest sounding players on MS, Broomhead. :x

Tamuz just said he does not have a Cop investigation. He just said he is not a Gleeman. Why, then, are you taking his word? And why do you plan on voting for him tomorrow if Flay is town? Not everything is black and white in these games: there are multiple reasons something might happen, not just one, which you always seem to simplify things down into.

Frizzin'.
FoS: Broomhead
. Don't try to set up yourself up for a vote today and a vote tomorrow.

In other news, I agree with Logicticus that Tamuz's last response only makes matters milkier.

I haev no idea what these two standings are supposed to say. I'm guessing that "bandvan" is a way of saying bandwagon that fits the rhyme scheme; but what's the deal with the rum?

Now that we've established that there's no investigation on me, can some of the scum back off my wagon please? Jeez.

Karn1 or Broomhead are my plays for the day at this point. I don't know if Tamuz is even allowed to tell us what his role does, but this seems too bizarre to be a scum ploy D1; it's got to be some sort of misunderstood role.

Karn1, check your profile settings to see if you've disable BBCode there.

After Tamuz's last post I'm pretty sure that we don't have enough evidence on Mr. Flay to do anything to him yet. Karn looks the best bet for now.

Sheesh. This is certainly an odd Day One.

People I am more than willing to vote for
right now
(in order of most willing):

1.) Karn1 (straddling the fence on Cop investigations, talking about crosskills, trusting
my
gut [which would not be gut if it were backed by evidence], weak attempt at humor when speaking of random votes, jumping on Flay after he defended himself without waiting for clarification from Tamuz or Flay...)
2.) Mariyta (blatant fishing, and towards more than one person)
3.) Broomhead (trying to set up two votes for two days after Tamuz has made it clear he does not have a guilty Cop investigation on Mr. Flay)

People I am slightly worried about:

1.) Albert the Great (fishing at my role and FoSing for "not explaining", for supplying Tamuz the possible role-claim of Thom Merrelin, tell Tamuz "well done" for what might have been a
random
investigation [therefore not making it 'well done' at all])
2.) Bascas (mimicking Albert the Great, fishing for my role, talking about Tamuz "asking for it tonight" if he is a Cop as if to garner sympathy)
3.) Mr. Flay (heck, I
did
think there was a guilty investigation on him, so this might just be lingering bias, but to not mention it would not be expressing my thoughts)

Vote: Karn1
. This wagon is both prosperous
and
well-reasoned, which is more than I can say for most Day One bandwagons. I want to see where it goes.

Scummy Observations:

Mach Man: in his first post, states the blatantly obvious. Also didn't like the way he voted for Mr. Flay after Tamuz' post.

ChanelDelibird: saying his ridiculous first vote on MMOD
wasn't
a joke vote. WTF?

Karn: random votes are stupid--random vote. WTF?

Mariyta: too helpful? and agreeing with obvious things. And asking for clarification on a "non-random" vote could be seen as Cop-fishing. Voting Mr. Flay says "here's hoping" Tamuz is right--with a :) ! Scummy.

armlx: also didn't like the way he voted Mr. Flay (partly because I have used the
exact
same line when voting for a fellow scum who had been caught out. )

Albert the great: mainly for the "well done, Tamuz"

Bascas:
another
interesting reaction to Tamuz's post. The little  doesn't make it seem more sincere. Defends Flay. Wagons Karn.

Mr. Flay: I don't understand his defense. Says Tamuz is wrong because he has no idea about his sanity. Don't understand what he means about giving the protective roles a choice of 2 targets, and that someone will die? Then wants the supposed Cop to come out with his information (which is what I would do if I was scum--try to get as much info as possible before you go down.) In some way, he doesn't seem outraged enough by the whole situation.

Broomhead: vote Flay, if Tamuz is wrong warns will vote for him.

Not scummy: PJ

Eh. I would like Tamuz to confirm one more time that Mr. Flay is scum. He says he's not a Cop, which is all well and good, I'm not asking him how he got his info or what his role is. I just want confirmation. His first post was too certain to have just been a "guess." If he confirms it, I'm voting Flay.

Tamuz, if this was just a gambit, I think it's time to say so.

There is not so much I can say
But know my actions of the day
Have been forced and warped in such a way.

Tommorow my voice will be more free
I can explain that done by me
And hopefully expound more on what I see

The comment about rum
Means less than some
In fact, in its wholeness means none.

Again I will state
Being a cop is not in my fate
And no new information will drop into my lap as of late.

What I know of Flay
More I cannot say
But it is none that my vote will not today, stray.

To my esteemed flay.
If one claims to be a gleeman any day
Will be a sunray.

For we can know
None has come out to say no
When the idea of me being a gleeman one did throw.

This evidence is not solid
But I believe it isn't squalid
Unless the real TM is stolid.

Yes Armlx, not a real cop investigation
In fact a fake one like WMDs in that nation
If it were possible a vote to you would be a strong temptation.

And just because this cannot be said in prose
sarcasm was used in the Chilly stanza compose
And I would love to offer Chilly a Summer Damask rose.

That was a lot of poetry to not give a straight answer. But I'm taking this:
Yes Armlx, not a real cop investigation
In fact a fake one like WMDs in that nation
If it were possible a vote to you would be a strong temptation.
To mean you really have nothing. And I gather you can't unvote. Which means the evidence against Flay is strictly by way of his somewhat off (to my way of thinking) response to your "accusation."

blah.
Vote: Mariyta
