So I just turned on the gom stream to see if any games were still going on and some of the commentators are streaming them playing starfox 64 on it instead.
Which is pretty awesome really.

Darn. I missed MLG this weekend. Do you guys really recommend buying the pass? Has anyone here bought it? Browsing TL for info I got people complaining about bad VOD quality, silly cuts, etc, and got me a bit wary.

With the VODs, you can skip most of the BS and downtime in between games. With the improvments made so far in the past few MLGs, I'm pretty much going to buy gold between now and Raleigh in order to get the perks for that as well as the other tournaments, plus with the chairs being such an issue, I think it'd be clutch to get in early when I go to Providence.

I got Gold. It was annoying not being able to watch both streams in high quality. Sundance said it would be fixed by Raleigh. Every time the other stream came on I'd get interrupted and it was bothering me. So far though its not enough to get me mad. If it happens in Raleigh though I'm going to get annoyed.

Kinetic, what site are you writing for that you're trying to get a press pass for Orlando?

Whoever said I was on a site? I've done freelance work all through college, but I don't have time to work full or part time for an organization with law school. Doesn't matter though, they only give press passes to big organizations basically :/.

Not 'big' organizations, as I could've secured one last season for the site I wrote for. They generally (and all ESPORTS events usually) require you to be with a website that at least updates content regularly, however, and hence my assumption that you were with a site.

@Raleigh Scummers: How close are you guys to the Raleigh venue/could I potentially maybe borrow a couch for a few days?

Everyone in my house is going, so you could just hitch a ride with us if you wanted

We have a guest bedroom (with no bed...) and we also have 4 couches, two of which are sleeper sofas

I live about 3 hours from Raleigh right now. I don't know if I'll have the finances to attend, but this is the closest I'll be to an MLG event this year.

Yeah I got my spectator pass today and will have a pretty decent couch in my apartment assuming it's like the one I had in the same apartment complex last year.
Reck kinda sounds like the better choice though considering he has 4 couches compared to my one.
