Not certain I have any listeners and over-stuffed my playlist a bit anyway, so am just playing music this hour rather than talking. Will probably reschedule for a later hour for next week.

I like this idea. Although it would require a bunch of us being able to get together and do a show, and considering I'm going to be moving soon (hopefully into a house and not onto the streets, but I'm pretty much stuck relying on the local council there so....) it might not be viable for me to do so for a bit.
Plus there's not really that many of us DJ'ing. What we need is more DJs, and perhaps a wider range of listeners than just people on MS. (and Nexus' girlfriend during his show)
Being a DJ is something I would like to attempt, but I really don't want to have to buy anything extra to do it. Would I be able to DJ with nothing more than the microphone built into my laptop and some easy-to-download programs?

If you nab Winamp, I'm sure myself or Nexus could easily give you a run through of how we do things (I have an actual mic, but the setup would be exactly the same for you), and get you the add-on for Winamp we use.
For this fall, I am looking in to running a show in my spare time (lol) and guest starring on various shows.

Have worked on both community and commercial stations here in the UK and am currently involved in a fairly big local project combining care in the community services with a local radio station attached. As soon as I've got the correct gear to hook up and run a show properly, I'd be interested in hosting a show.
I expect more listeners for my show than Nexus has got for his... damn people, we have our own radio station with awesome music (Nexus has done a blinding show tonight), listen to it.

You don't need much. A decent quality microphone and some broadcasting software will do the trick.
