What are the odds that Pooky's nuke against Gamma was a bus nuke? I wanted to put him townie enough for Final 3, but after doing a brief ISO on him, I just can't develope more than a null read, even after the nuke was launched.

This is why I am paranoid about him and IS. I WANT to say "Hey, town as hell" but I nuked my buddy as scum and won the game as confirmed town. I don't want to fall for that same type of gambit in a double form.

And yes, I'm glad you can see why ML's scum. If you didn't notice, Toasty's doing the same thing. We aren't even talking about lynching him. I just mention him possibly dying and he flips his shit on me. You said scum might've rolled over and that got me thinking that we didn't have the right scum. So I remade my list. Toasty and ML both are overdefensive. Of the two, I think Toasty is more likely to flip scum.

I'm going to do something rare for you guys. I'm going to tell you WHY Toasty needs NUCLEAR DEATH. ML's in disbelief he has to die. Toasty has either made me look bad or told me my reads are wrong. He had that way back in Defcon 2 or 3. He made a list somewhere around today or the end of yesterday with me being in the highest part of his town list. Now I'm confirmed fuckin' town. And what does he do? He doesn't trust me? That makes no sense. NO sense. If you can even explain one ounce of this mindset, you will get dumbfounded looks. He also jumped on the AV wagon without much comment to it. Just a few lines in his earlier posts. But everyone in this game basically had condemned AV as soon as Defcon 2 started, FATE.

There's another thing I dislike but it's not even game-related. Like that one thing Vi said. I can't tell if he has an actual problem with ME or is just scum. I don't remember doing anything to him besides saying he needed to die. The way he's aggressive and tells me "Glad we had this talk" instead of asking why I don't trust him doesn't help. When I was scum, I had the same behavior when I hydra'd in Directional Mafia. Then there's his 180 flip on his read of me. All of the above makes me pick the "Well, yeah, he's scum" scenario instead of the "problem with ME" mindset.

Is anyone opposed to a Gorilla, SDC, and one of Pooky or Mina Final 3 (before lynching)?

Based on this list, nukes can be controlled, and anyone who nukes one of my proposed final 3 may as well claim scum in my opinion. Final 3, if the game is still going, would probably lynch Mina/Pooky as being the least likely to be town of the three imo, as my reads on Gorilla and SDC are pretty much concreted town at this point. I do not want a nuke in the final 3, just in case it's a scum nuke, and they can instant win, but I felt of the nukes remaining, Pooky and Mina are the least likely to be scum.

We still have one nuke in Mina today, but not sure if we really need to use it or not since the only people I would advocate a nuking on atm are all nukes themselves, and we may want more nukes tomorrow to shape the final town.

People have come and gone with final three lists. What makes you think yours is better than anyone else's?

Toasty and ML both are overdefensive

The whole "being defensive is a scum tell" thing is, and has always been, bogus. Everyone should always defend themselves in detail against any reasonable accusation (and against most unreasonable ones as wll).

If you're town, and someone's calling you scum, either their facts are wrong, their logic is wrong, they're jumping to conclusions incorrectly, or at the very least their argument is inconclusive. One of those things must be true, and whenever someone accuses you, it's your job to say why they're wrong.

I tend to consider failure to defend yourself properly a scumtell, and defending yourself to be null at worst.

(I first figured out that "being defensive is a scumtell" thing was crap during my first few games as scum; I was amazed how easy it was for a scum to get a mislynch using it. Step 1, attack someone. Step 2, when they defend themselves, call them defensive. Never failed.)

Defensivness isn't scummy, period. If you defend yourself against a mild attack with a mile long post, then that might be an overreaction, but it isn't at all scummy; there's no reason to think scum is more likely to do that then town.

Now, if you're defending yourself without scumhunting, that can be scummy, but there the tell is the lack of scumhunting, not defending yourself. If you're defending yourself in detail, it pretty much just means you're playing the game properly; nobody wants to be lynched, and if you let even minor incorrect arguments against you stand without responding to them, it's very likely to come back and bite you on the ass later in the game.

All right. Let me explain what I was trying to pull off since yesterday.

I realized that there were three unclaimed roles left in the game (obviously, I'm a silo):
Fighters, Fallout Shelter, and Fail Safe. FTR, Fighter was on my list, and Fallout Shelter on Hinduragi's and LLD's, so I knew at least two of those roles were in the game.

But Ludi and HezLucky were on the death list, and we were widely discussing nuking them. Why didn't they claim their roles if they were in danger of death?

So I knew that whichever of ML and Hez had Fail Safe/Fallout Shelter was probably scum. (If Toasty had, say, Fail Safe, it made sense for him as town not to claim it, because he was unlikely to be nuked except by scum in retaliation. But why not Ludi or Hez?)

I decided to put them on the spot by saying that me and Toasty were 100% going to nuke them, so they should reveal if they had any useful information. I put Toasty in because Ludi claimed to have a scum read on me.

See, if Hez were a town Fail Safe, he probably would have gone, "Oh, by the way, if you nuke me, you kind of instantly die, so be careful." But since he wasn't making it to endgame anyway, I think he was hoping to take out one of me/Toasty.
