And those are just relatively recent games in the Large Theme area. I'm right a lot more than people want to admit. My accuracy in choosing scum is easily better than choosing randomly, although how much better it is might be a little hard to say.

I massively procrastinated on my reading of this thread today, skimmed a few ISOs and did some writeups, made myself a dumb list of reads, not much to show for it though.

Actually decided AVox's attitude in recent posts comes off as too self-preservationist ("I'm not useless. I should not be lynched today.") so I'm not going to pretend I fully comprehend the reasons other people are voting him, but he doesn't actually seem that way - he's mostly pushed hez and sociopath and both of them are neutral-townish to me.

As it turns out, the scum learned their lesson from DEFCON 2 and have basically gone on a near-total communications blackout, making me effectively vanilla town. I've got a single encrypted leak to show for my role. If anyone thinks I'm retarded enough to have taken eavesdrop as scum (or as the SK), they should be nuked. I'm probably an idiot for outing with this so quickly, but oh well. I realize I was giving off the wrong impression with my posts, so I'm going to try to correct that.

The end of the world was announced a couple of days ago. Now, not only do we know when the apocalypse is coming, but we also know

In other news, we're split on who dies today. On the one hand, we have the AurorusVox camp -- some of whom carried over their suspicion from DEFCON 3 while others built their cases from AurorusVox's behavior today -- and then we have the gorilla camp, which stemmed from a case put forth by Lady Lambdadelta and swelled when gorilla's posts didn't satisfy people's tastes. On the other hand, we have all these other people calling other people scum and pledging their nukes, and we have a rainbow vote count to show for it. Other minor events include AurorusVox sparring with MagnaofIllusion with lots of words and some case or other for SocioPath being a terrorist.

The above is not a wholly accurate representation of events thus far nor is it billed as such. I'm just here because I don't have many Max Revives yet and they're unbuyable. I'm a bit bummed by this.

Did nobody discuss Eavesdrop during DEFCONs 5 and 4 at all? I seem to vaguely remember some mention of it at least...? Well, if that discussion did actually happen, then I'd like to know how you missed it. (I'm going to go see if that discussion actually occurred or if I'm just making up memories from hydra discussion. Whee.)

I had already gotten that impression given we haven't gotten a single leak yet, though I attributed part of that to the fact that D3 was pretty quick.

Magua thinks I am both town and scum. I still like Magua at the moment, so I won't hold his lack of read on me against him, but it does point to the fact that he has no read at all on me and is likely "probtowning" me for my claim only.


I had no idea Equinox was even playing until his last post, which was completely full of fluff posting. He jumps up the list significantly for attempting to look productive in such a manner. Not really gonna press Gorilla anymore. Seems like noob-play the way he is going about the game at this point, and I recall he doesn't have that much experience, so likely he just doesn't handle pressure well.

I figured the (Equinox) was some weird response thing at first, but I don't pay attention to Hydra make up in that way, as I rarely care about the people behind the Hydra, and just the Hydra name itself. I just always saw you as Swift Justice.

When you posted out of Hydra, I immediately thought you were someone I had no idea was actually playing because I hadn't seen you post. After I had posted that, I went to ISO Equinox and got an interesting surprise, so I looked at the Player List and saw your name on Swift Justice Hydra... at which point it all came together.

No one said "NO DON'T TAKE EAVESDROP IT IS A BAD IDEA" except for maybe ooba, a few people said "hey yeah scum not being able to communicate is bad for them" and I read DEFCON 2 and percy was like, so cool in it and I wanted to see the secret leaks this game. For what it's worth, it was second on my list (espionage was first). There is literally zero reason I'd have considered listing espionage as scum in this game.
